Its peculiar "ceremonial blade" can interact with the Coreflame, as evidenced by the pull I felt when it stabbed into my chest. I hypothesize that the blade can sense, absorb... or even retain Coreflames. The second premise is even more explicit. When it was engaged in fierce battle with many of us and was heavily distracted, it remained consistently focused on me — or rather, on the Titan Cerces inside me. |

The unnamed Black-Robed Swordsmaster, referred by "Flame Reaver" is a major antagonist in the Science Fantasy turn based role-playing video game Honkai: Star Rail and the main antagonist of Amphoreus' storyline. Hailing from beyond Amphoreus, they hunt the Coreflames of the Titans in opposition to the Chrysos Heirs with an unknown goal. The Black-Cloaked Swordmaster, was also responsible for killing Cyrene, a childhood friend of Phainon and the destruction of his hometown, Aedes Elysiae, by the Black Tide. Revived by the Black Tide, the relentless Flame Reaver will never stop until it finishes the task. It's highly implied that the Flame Reaver has a connection to the imprisoned Lord Ravager in Amphoreus.
Appearance[]
The Flame Reaver sports a predominantly black cloak with gilded plating, a pitch-black hole in the torso. The black-cloaked swordmaster also wields "Ceremonial Blade", the greatsword consisting of the twin swords with sun & moon motif in each of the respective cross-guards.
Story[]
The Destruction of Aedes Elysiae[]
Little known about the origins of this Black-Cloaked Swordmaster. But according to what Phainon has experienced, the mysterious swordmaster is linked to the Black Tide. It also was responsible for the destruction of Phainon's hometown, Aedes Elysiae and the murder of his childhood friend, Cyrene, along with the other victims. The traumatic event from Phainon's childhood memory fuels him a fear-induced hatred into joining one of the Chrysos Heirs to avenge his people by killing the Black-Cloaked Swordmaster.
Grove Under Attack[]
After the death of Titan of Strife Nikador, the Black-Tide invades the Grove of Epiphany, which launched by the mysterious Black-Cloaked Swordmaster. During the invasion, mamy scholars and other minor member of Chrysos Heirs were killed in action, overwhelmed by the forces of the Black-Tide. The Black-Cloaked Swordmaster went into the Luminary Throne, atop the great tree, where Anaxa kept the Coreflame of Cerces. The Trailblazer, Castorice, and Trianne confront the mysterious dark swordmaster, only for stalling the swordmaster until Anaxa's revival by Cerces, taking the Coreflame of Reason within the swordmaster itself. However, even with a revived Anaxa, supported by Calypso (Actually Cerces' White Dryad Guise), the Swordmaster was proven to be very tough enemy. In which, Trianne have to activate the Century Gate to expel the Swordmaster into the past time, to buy some time to retreat.
