Flame Stag (Flame Stagger in the Japanese version) is one of the eight Maverick bosses in Megaman X2. He was once a Maverick Hunter, but joined Sigma's rebellion when his friend, Boomer Kuwanger sided with Sigma. He was later sighted in an active volcano which he planned to let erupt and block out the sun with volcanic ash, starting a new ice age.
Flame Stag attacks by leaping across his chamber, trying to charge into X and throwing fireballs. Once his health is low, Flame Stag's fire will turn from red to blue and his attacks become much faster. His weakness is the Bubble Splash.
