Flamefeather is a minor antagonist in the Transformers franchise. The original version of the character came from the 1988 toyline.
Marvel Comics[]
Flamefeather was one of the Firecons. He made his first appearance in the Marvel UK story "Enemy Action", where he and his fellows Cindersaur and Sparkstalker went sent to Earth by the Decepticons on Cybertron to make contact with the powerful future Decepticon Galvatron. There, they encountered the Sparkabots, similarly sent from Cybertron to keep an eye on Galvatron. A fight broke out between the two groups, with Flamefeather fighting Sizzle. The battle was halted by the arrival on the scene of Galvatron. Flamefeather personally approached him to propose an argument only for Galvatron to turn him down flat.
In "Deadly Games", Flamefeather and the other Firecons were back on Cybertron working with the alien Zabra, providing him with captive Autobots for his gladiatorial contests. They managed to capture the Sparkabots but cut their losses when the three Autobots broke loose and teamed up with Ultra Magnus, who had been placed in the arena.
This mirrored Flamefeather's only Marvel US appearance in Issue #46, where he and the other Firecons were again shown as running the Decepticon detention area on Cybertron, with the Sparkabots and Triggercons as their prisoners. After looking for an excuse to rough them up, Flamefeather followed Scorponok's directive to send Fizzle, Sizzle and Backstreet to him on Earth.
Flamefeather made his last appearance in the storyline that ran through "Rage" and "Assault on the Ark". He was part of a team led by Ruckus who were sent to Earth from Cybertron to retrieve the missing leadership candidate Thunderwing. After initially mistaking the group for Autobots and attacking them, Thunderwing placed the troops under his command and led them in an attack on the Ark, although they quickly ended up retreating after meeting heavy resistance.
