Flan or the King of Flans is a minor antagonist in Courage the Cowardly Dog and the main antagonist in The King of Flan episode. He was a lowly businessman and the head of the Flan-tasy Flan Co who wanted to get as many customers and money as possible with his product, the flan, which was a tasty cake, but he also used brainwashing hypnosis to achieve success.
He is voiced by Jorge Pupo, who also voiced Gonzalez in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Biography[]
Flan was a businessman and he who wanted to achieve great success by selling his self-named cake, but he didn't want to achieve this with absolutely clean means. He began using hypnotism on television to increase the income of the Flan-tasy Flan Co' and get more people to buy his products. The mass hypnosis worked and a lot of people started to eat the flan cake, but they wanted more cake and more aggressively, and its excessive consumption caused severe obesity. A strange, talking dog, Courage, wanted to stop him because his owners, Muriel and Eustace were also under the influence of hypnosis and became extremely fat. The dog saw on one of the empty package that the headquarter of the Flan-tasy Flan Co was in 1 Flan Drive, Flansville, Kansas. He left with an empty freighter that had been stolen by his owners and entered the headquarters and suddenly heard sounds from the media room in the building. Here he found Flan, who was talking into a camera and hypnotizing an unknown man, but Courage was also partly under his influence, while he was looking at the big screen with the face of the businessman with the cakes. Then the businessman laughed because the flantasy flan was a huge success and flanatized more and more people, and his goal was to hypnotize the viewers in live broadcasts on every television channel, flanatize them and become the sole king of the flans. Courage tried to resist, but since he was also affected by the hypnomercial, he cheerfully went to Flan, who was a little surprised how the dog got into the building, but he didn't care, instead he threw a cookie on the floor. The unknown man was completely under the influence of hypnosis, and the dog could not resist the temptation of the tasty cake and both of them threw themselves at it, and Courage came out victorious, to whom Flan laughingly threw another cake. He told the dog that no matter how hard he tried to resist or fight, they would soon be living in the world of Flantasy, and then Courage remembered how fat Muriel had become and what she had become because of the cake, so he angrily grabbed it and threw it at Flan's head. He was not angry, however, but declared that the dog would not destroy the flan, but that it would destroy the dog, and curled up and began to roll towards him to wantd to flatten him. Terrified and screaming, Courage ran towards the elevator and managed to get into the elevator shaft and climb the cable, but Flan went after him and threw a cake at him while laughing evilly that the dog was trying to resist the temptation but could not refuse the cake. However, he did not swallow the cake, but vomited it on the businessman, who was not interested in it and started to follow the dog. When they got to the roof, he curled up again and tried to squeeze the dog, who started to climb the huge screen on top of the building, and Flan went after him. Then he threw a cake at him again, and Courage couldn't resist, and the businessman threw more, straight into his mouth, but the dog vomited back at him. Flan didn't care about this and didn't get angry, but suddenly his hand slipped from the slippery cake and he almost fell, but he caught one of the wires of the screen in time, but he gradually started to pull it down because it was too heavy. Then the screen tore off the tower and Flan fell with it, smashing through the walls behind him. In the downstairs, he fell to the floor and the screen almost fell on him, but because of the cables, it didn't fall on him, but hung in front of him, and Flan fell victim to his own weapon, he tried to resist, but in the end the hypnotism took control of his mind and he wanted to eat his own product as much as possible. After that, Courage returned to the media room and ended the mass hypnosis, but he still stayed there and together with the hypnotized Flan, they ate a lot of delicious cakes.
Personality[]
Flan was a manipulative, ambitious, calm and optimistic person. He was fully convinced that the gigantic sales and earnings of his own product would be enough to give him the power to rule over others like a king and actually gain influence that others only dreamed of. It is also certain that he was quite a patient and focussed person, as he absolutely did not bother him and was not angry or scared when something happened or something unexpected happened only in very extreme cases, only his own goal was the most important to him.
