Flat Earth Society is a villainous organization from the adult cartoon Inside Job, being one of the main antagonists in the episode "My Big Flat Earth Wedding".

History[]

Their first appearance is in the beginning, in which they appear on a news show making an aggressive protest at the National Air and Space Museum, throwing flat earth disks at a scientist. Cognito's department sees the news but none take it seriously, with J.R. commenting on conspiracy theories getting dumber, in which Gigi comments that the earth is actually hollow and is inhabited by topera people, sea monsters and the Land of the Lost while Myc Cellium blames science budget cuts on schools.

After Regan arrives home, she sees her father Rand Ridley talking to and forcing the speech, in which both express how happy they are to have a renowned scientist at their side. Rand tries to introduce Regan, but they hide because they barely see girls. Regan questions it and her father reveals that he had made a bet with J.R. that he had an idea that was dumb enough that people wouldn't believe it, so he would have spread the theory and that it would have worked "too well" and that he would be using it to annoy J.R..

Afterwards they are seen buying a (small) boat for the flat earth expedition, which, meanwhile, Rand discovers his wife's marriage and decides to take advantage of him influence among flat earthers.

Rand later appears invading the wedding boat and interrupting it along with the flat-Earthers, in which Regan explains that Rand had tricked them in order to invade the boat. The leader of the movement is disappointed and Rand questions if they really believe it, which he confirms because of the YouTube notifications.

He gets mad and pulls a pistol out of his pocket, along with other members who take large weapons out of their bags and hold everyone at the wedding hostage, in which the leader shoots one of the security guards in the leg, causing him to scream on the floor. Then the leader communicates to destroy the means of communication and steals the post of captain of the ship, in which he orders the confiscation of all cell phones, wallet and anything spherical. They prove to be unintelligent, getting the prey at the door because of the fantasy of earth, in which Regan takes advantage of the moment to steal the harpoon. Jeff Bezos (who was at the party) ends up freaking out, but Brett Hand dressed as a billionaire tries to convince him to buy the ship for the historic pirate, until the leader prays that hostages will be killed, which would start with the richest man in the world, taking Brett in disguise, in which they lock him in the basement.

Then they take Regan and tie her to a chair, until she suggests that if she ends the mother's marriage and locks her father in the cellar, she will show him the edge of the earth. While the wedding takes place (again), Regan takes advantage and throws two bombs at two flat-Earthers and enters the cabin and fixes the radio, while those trapped in the basement (department+Rand) manage to escape and use the nearby materials to kill the flat-Earthers. Regan's plan fails and she makes her way to the lifeboat, but the Leader, her mom and dad end up tagging along. The leader forces her to drive to the edge of the earth, but ends up making the portal of the hollow earth open, to deceive him by saying it is the edge of the earth, in which Harold (his name appears) ends up throwing himself into the portal. It also shows that pirates, along with Jeff Bezos die for the kraken.

Personality[]

They appear to be unintelligent and extremely loyal to flat earthers, in which they use bad examples like Pacman and YouTube notifications to justify their theory. They also appear to be emotionally unstable, sometimes being calm and sometimes acting like psychopaths.
