Flat Petey is the evil paper version of Petey the Cat and one of the two main antagonists (alongside Flippy the Fish) in Dog Man: Unleashed, the second installment in the Dog Man book series which is a spin-off from the Captain Underpants franchise.
Biography[]
Petey becomes enraged when rumors of a mysterious stranger who like Petey causing trouble travels throughout the city, including Cat Jail, because he believes that someone is attempting to undermine him. He escaped by drawing himself on a sheet of paper and pretending to be crushed dead as a distraction to get out of jail.
The piece of paper was sprayed with Living Spray and turned into Flat Petey when it was given to the wrong doctor, Boog E. Feeva. He started committing crimes alongside Dr. Feeva, who served as his sidekick, and Living Sprayed Skelly, who assisted him in robbing Petey of his Treasure Tank 2000.
Dog Man, Sarah, Zuzu, and Chief were attempting to stop Petey form using the Treasure Tank 2000 when he is robbing other citizens of their money in the meanwhile. Flat Petey is able to steal Petey's Treasure Tank 2000 since Petey is pursued back to Cat Jail. After Dog Man released Skelly from his hypnosis, he cheerfully walked away. At that point, a mysterious stranger showed in and attempted to use his telekinetic mental skills to defeat Flat Petey before being stopped by Zuzu. The other key adversary, Flippy, an evil fish that Dog Man purchased for Chief's birthday, was revealed when Zuzu and Chief removed the stranger's disguise.
Flat Petey and the hypnotic witch doctor took advantage of the opportunity to escape with the treasure tank up a snowy mountain before Flippy, Dog Man, and his comrades caught up to them while Flippy was explaining his abilities and plans to Dog Man. Dog Man and his comrades' only mode of transportation up the mountain, the police car, gets crushed by Flat Petey's Treasure Tank 2000 after Flippy freezes to death and his soul evaporates. This prevents Flat Petey from being apprehended. After the heroes were unable to flee before meeting Flippy's demise, Flat Petey declared himself the winner because, being made of paper, he would not freeze to death. He then inquires whether they had any parting remarks, but Dog Man licks him and he freezes. Using Flat Petey's frozen body as a sled, Dog Man, co. and a mesmerized Dr. Boog E Feeva descend the mountain and return to the city. Dr. Feeva, who was released from his hypnotism spray as a result of laughing when he snow-surfed with the others, ultimately chases Flat Petey away with his living scissors. Boog E. Feeva and Flat Petey were last observed fleeing the city into the dusk. Flat Petey's fate is later unknown.
