Fleurina always puts on an elegant show when she attacks. Don't get too caught up in her performance, or you'll get caught up in her tornado to match! She's very dedicated to her dance career and thinks of every battle as a new lesson. (They keep her on her toes.)
~ Fleurina's figurine description in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Fleurina is a mini-boss and a minor antagonist in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, giving the Tornado ability upon being defeated and inhaled. She is a member of the Beast Pack, who are attempting to restore "The Great One" to their original form so that she and the rest of the group may use their power to follow after the previous inhabitants of the Forgotten Land who left the world behind many years ago.

Biography[]

Fleurina is a mid-boss who shows up in various levels throughout Kirby and the Forgotten Land. She attacks similarly to the tornado abilities primary attack, spinning herself around to create a twister before chasing the player(s) around for a few seconds. She can also attack by sending out three tornados that move in a random manner, and by jumping into the air, following the player(s) around midair, and then stomping into the ground after a few seconds while a twister swirls around her. Once Fleurina loses half of her health, she gains the ability to dodge player's attacks by jumping into the air, after which she'll then do her tornado spinning attack.

During the game's credits, there are multiple pictures of a now reformed Fleurina hanging out with Kirby and Elfilin. At the end of the epilogue, after defeating Morpho Knight, she appears along with the rest of the Beast pack holding pieces of Leongar's soul, returning them to his body in order to revive him.

Appearance[]

Fleurina is a white, bipedal swan with blue eyes and a tuft of light blue feathers on her chest. She wears some sort of skirt or tutu made of wind and feathers, and has two large, white flowers with blue-tipped petals and aqua stamen on either side of her head.

Trivia[]

  • Fleurina is the first and currently only mid-boss in the series that leaves behind the tornado ability after being defeated.
  • Fleurina is the only mid-boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land to be completely new, as Wild Frosty, Wild Bonkers, and Wild Gigant Edge are all variants of pre-existing mid-bosses.
  • Fleurina's English name is a combination of the words fleur (French for flower) and ballerina. Her Japanese name is a combination of swallow and ballerina.
  • Oddly, upon losing half of her health, Fleurina emits the sound of a red-tailed hawk's screech.
