Flycatcher, real name Hank Hua is a major antagonist in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, serving as a major antagonist in Episode 1: Operation Greenstone, and an overarching antagonist in Episode 3: Red Patriot.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Hank Hua, AKA Flycatcher, was a child prodigy who built his first computer from scratch at age 7. It is unclear why this child-genius would grow up to join the military, but what is certain is that his lust for action and mastery of technology in battle attracted the attention of Trey Stone and Cole Walker, and he quickly earned a place among the elite Wolves. Fascinated by the work of Paula Madera, he insisted on being her dedicated guardian.

Operation Greenstone[]

During Operation Greenstone, Flycatcher was first seen when Walker and the other Wolf lieutenants caught up to Nomad and Jace Skell. Nomad later runs into him again when he is rescuing Madera. The Wolf uses his drones in an attempt to kill Nomad and Madera, but is unsuccessful. Nomad eventually tracks down Flycatcher and kills him in his own base to keep Madera safe.

Red Patriot[]

Although dead, Flycatcher's former assistant, Claro Gentile, took up his mantle as the drone expert for the Wolves and aligned himself with Bodark. During the mission 'Fireworks', Gentile seeks to avenge Flycatcher by killing Nomad, but ultimately failed and is killed by the Ghost as well.

Personality[]

Despite being a ruthless killer like most Wolves, when compared to the other lieutenants like Silverback and Yellowleg he's actually rather docile in comparison, pleasant even as most of the engineers he works with to improve his drones do so willingly. He handles his duties with an almost childlike innocence, looking up to Cole and his fellow Wolves like a young boy idolizing a baseball team.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being in a relationship, his journal entries hint that he has a crush on Rosebud.
  • Members of the Wolves don't think of Flycatcher as tough, due to him not having a high body count like the others.
