The Forest Demon is the main antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode “A Silly Halloween Special”.
He is a tree demon that haunts the forest located across from the Smiling Friends headquarters. After Pim gets lost in the forest, the Forest Demon spooks him and chases him back to the Smiling Friends building.
He is voiced by David Dore, who also voices Party Bro in the same series.
Appearance[]
He appears to be a giant humanoid with grotesque, outstretched limbs and twig-like horns on his head. His eyes are blue and his whole body appears to have a brown wood-like texture. He is a bit taller than an average sized person.
Personality[]
When chasing Pim, he presents himself as a predator set on capturing and possibly eating Pim. He chased Pim across the forest and even followed him into the office, demonstrating an intolerance to failure. Essentially, he appeared like a feral, unthinking monster who was only bent on murdering his victims.
However, when being accused of wearing "black-face", he suddenly became very defensive and began speaking English, as he would rather have people see him as a homicidal monster rather than a racist.
Biography[]
After Pim got lost in the woods looking for firewood, he found an abandoned cabin to stay in. After spending some time inside, he looked out the window and saw a figure looking at him from behind a tree. Pim them frantically tried to escape as the figure went to the door and tried to open it. Pim climbed up the chimney, and after falling out, the figure went back outside to follow him. He chased Pim across a field and then a lake. Just when Pim thought he was in the clear, the demon appeared next to him screaming. Pim continued to run as the demon pursued him all the way to the Smiling Friend headquarters. After failing to get in through the front, Pim tried through the back, the demon grabbing his shoe as be made his way in. The demon chased him all the way to the room where the Halloween party was taking place.
After busting down the door, everyone looked at the demon, and Party Bro accused him of being in black-face. The demon, who finally speaks normal, protested by saying that he wasn't wearing a costume and that he was an actual demon. The party guests didn't believe him, and so they began beating him. This continued until they began ripping him apart, eating his insides, and lighting him on fire.
