NOTE: This article is about the mainstream incarnation (the song) of Forester. His version from TV show of 2023 can be found here: Forester (2023)
Forester is the titular main antagonist of the song of the same name by the Russian punk-rock band King and Jester. He is an outcast old man, who invites many lost travelers in his house, attending to be friendly, but actually feeding them to his wolves.
Biography[]
Both[]
The song starts as the singer (also a narrator of story about himself) loses all his energy while walking through the forest and finds the lost house. The forester himself invites him in the house, promising that he will treat him with everything and can tell anything he wants. During their talk, forester says that he has no enemies among animals and he likes feeding wolves. However, when it goes dark and wolves are heard howling, old man walks out of the house and returns with a gun asking the narrator to go in the forest with him. Nothing said in the song later, but it's implied that he fed him to those wolves.
Only in the music video[]
In the video made by Andrei "Prince" Kniazev, the main protagonist (taking the appearance of the band's late vocalist Mikhail "Pot" Gorsheniov) appears in the house and finds nobody in here. Forester appears soon and makes a dinner for him. He also finds his old pictures, which reveal him as the former war officer and friend of animals. But when forester orders Mikhail to go in the forest with him, he is shown to be a lycanthrope as he turns into a wolf in front of the protagonist and tries to kill him. However, soon Andrei Kniazev appears with a gun, killing Forester (by shooting him through the eye) and saving his friend.
