The Formless Mother, also known as the Mother of Truth, is a major antagonist in the 2022 game Elden Ring. She is an Outer God that desires to cause bloodshed and murder through her followers, by bestowing her accursed blood upon them.
Biography[]
Very little is known about the Formless Mother's true origins other than her status as an Outer God. One of the sons of Godfrey known as Mohg encountered her deep underground, where she blessed his accursed blood with fire. Converting him into her servant, Mohg went on form his own cult of Bloody Fingers under the Formless Mother's will, who would commit acts of murder. Mohg would then plot to form his own dynasty one day, titled Mohgywn.

- The Formless Mother is likely a reference to Oedon from Bloodborne, both being eldritch outer gods associated with blood, worshipped by a cult inspired to commit acts of murder under their name and will.
