Biography[]
Early life[]
Forsythe Pendleton Jones I was born in the small town of Riverdale in the Southside of town sometime in 1950. He presumably was a student of Riverdale High as a teenager and before or during 1968, joined Stonewall Prep for his writing skills and became a member of the Quill and Skulls Literature Club with fellow classmates Jane Dallas, Charles Chickens, Theodore Weisel and Francis DuPont. Forsythe's main objective for the club and for his storywriting class was to create his own franchise which he created and named the Baxter Brothers, writing its first ever novel whilst at Stonewall. However, he was still subtly made fun of for his simple small town origins by his peers at the Quill and Skulls, especially Francis, who was secretly jealous of his storytelling genius and soon, managed to get all the writing credit for Baxter Brothers and its first novel. Forsythe tried hard to fight for his rights for his story however Francis blamed him for plagiarizing the novel idea from him and everybody else agreed, causing Pendleton to drop out from Stonewall after only 2 months due to his heart broken at the fact that his story and ideas for the franchise and being famous were stolen by DuPont.
Preceding Riverdale[]
After leaving Stonewall, Forsythe returned to the Southside of Riverdale, became a member and then the leader of the criminal biker gang the Southside Serpents, got married to an unnamed woman and started drinking heavily whilst the woman bore him a son in 1975 whom he named FP (short for Forsythe Pendleton Jones II). Forsythe was effective as a leader however at home, his alcoholism and sadness out of being cheated out by DuPont caused him to beat his family viciously including beating FP so badly because he wanted to go to Stonewall that the latter got an arm cast from Forsythe in 1991. Later on, him and the woman presumably divorced and Forsythe kicked out FP from the house when he turned 16 in 1992. In 2002, Forsythe was contacted by Weisel who revealed that DuPont had Chickens and Dallas both killed just so that he himself could get rights to the Baxter Brothers and that it was time for Forsythe to die alongside them. Realizing the danger, Forsythe ran away from the Southside and became a hermit, living near the outskirts of town and near Stonewall secretly whilst Weisel was also killed in an "accident" by DuPont.
Season 2[]
In Chapter Twenty-One: House of the Devil, FP mentions to his son Jughead Jones about how Forsythe kicked him out the house at age 16, telling him to "go to Hell" which is what caused him to join the Southside Serpents right after as a new family.
Season 3[]
Forsythe appears in the flashback episode Chapter Thirty-Nine: The Midnight Club in the 1990s where we see him break FP's arm after he tells him he's going to college. At the end of the flashback, we presumably see what happened to FP after Forsythe kicked him out of the house.
Season 4[]
A picture of a young Forsythe at Stonewall Prep is shown to Jughead by DuPont whilst he himself is at that school in Chapter Sixty-Two: Witness for the Prosecution. Forsythe meanwhile first appears as an old man in Chapter Sixty-Six: Tangerine where it’s revealed that he now lives in a defunct bus and tells a visiting Jughead his whole story of Francis stealing his legacy and making him the thief before mysteriously disappearing the next day.
Forysthe reappears in Chapter Seventy-Three: The Locked Room in which he finally goes back to Stonewall Prep (alongside Jughead and his girlfriend Betty Cooper) after decades and over there, confronts DuPont and reveals to his 3 students Donna Sweett, Joan Berkeley and Bret Weston Wallis about how DuPont stole his work, who the real creator of Baxter Brothers is and the fact that DuPont also had Weisel, Chickens and Dallas killed as well which causes Francis to jump out of the window and kill himself to not get arrested by Betty and Jughead's half-brother and Forsythe's other grandson FBI Agent Charles Smith. Later on, Forsythe is seen bonding with FP having previously apologized to him for the way he treated him in the past and reveals to Jughead that he was the one who sent the Baxter Brothers books to him when he was a child.
