The Four-Dimensional Hyper Diamond is the titular main antagonist of Animation vs. Geometry, the third installment of the Animation vs. Education web series.
It is a sentient hypercube that destroys anything it comes across, and sets it sights on the Second Coming and Phi upon encountering them.
Appearance[]
The Four-Dimensional Hyper Diamond is exactly what it sounds like. It's a fourth dimensional analogue of a platonic solid, being composed out of 24 octahedral cells with six meeting at each vertex of the shape, making it have 96 triangular faces, and 24 vertices. The Hyper Diamond does not have a regular analogue in the other 3 dimensions. It's the only shape to be in the six convex regular 4-polytopes, which is not the four-dimensional analogue of one of the five regular Platonic solids. It is the unique regular polytope, as in any number of dimensions, it has no regular analogue in that dimension.
History[]
After the Second Coming enters the geometry dimension and meets a friendly equation named Phi which shows off the rules of the dimension, the two make a golden ratio together. Out of nowhere, the Hyper Diamond starts bashing into the equation that was just made, trying to aim for the Second Coming and Phi. The Second Coming tries launching a vertex at it to make it go away, but ends up enraging it. After trying to hit it a few more times, the Second Coming decides to throw a vertex behind himself, creating a line and a path to escape the beast. He picks up Phi and runs away. The Hyper Diamond starts destroying the path behind the Second Coming, as he throws Phi in front of himself. They try to fight back using more vertexes, but after it doesn't work, Phi creates a new line going down below the line, creating a new escape for the both of them. They go down it as the Hyper Diamond continues forward, beyond the escape path.
It soon finds the two again however, and starts destroying the base Phi made when escaping. Phi and the Second Coming decide it was time to leave, so Phi let the Second Coming to use him as a skateboard down a path they manage to make again. The Diamond bounces off the floor of the base and hops down into the void with the two of them. They make multiple lines as ropes to jump from the left to the right of the diamond so they don't get crushed by them. They make a circle which they use to make a airplane with Phi as the steering wheel. They start getting shot at by the Diamond, using shapes as bullets. The two manage to dodge them but crash into the Hyper Diamond as a result of steering through the bullets. With Phi's quick thinking, they start making a shield to protect themselves from the hail of bullets, but Hyper Diamond hits them yet again. The two manage to make another line, which they use to get away from the creature. They make a pentagon as a base whilst Phi clones himself, with the clones creating weapons. After a while though, the Hyper Diamond powers up and starts smashing through the pentagon, killing Phi's clones.
The Second Coming and Phi create a plan to trap it within another shape, so they start creating a triangle around the creature, and turn it into a pyramid by making it 3D. They then put a cube in the triangle surrounding the Hyper Diamond. The Hyper Diamond manages to break out of the triangle after they crash down onto the pentagon line after being in the air, which sets the cube out. The two make a golden ratio cross to make a new polygon. The Hyper Diamond breaks out but the two throw the polygon at it, thus trapping it once more. After a while it breaks out once more, but Phi makes a dodecahedron, which has numerous golden ratios, and puts himself inside it. The Second Coming throws it at the Hyper Diamond, and the golden ratios of the shape manage to shrink the beast and trap it inside the dodecahedron.
The Second Coming goes inside the dodecahedron, which has grown in size, to find a tiny, golden Hyper Diamond which briefly flies towards him before flying off towards other shapes, implying it's been neutralized and imprisoned. After several seconds, during which the Second Coming meets his self from Animation vs. Physics before falling down somewhere, the dodecahedron shines a golden color before shrinking into a small black dot.
Personality[]
The 4D Hyper-Diamond possesses zero sapience and wanted to devour anything indiscriminately. The 4D Hyper-Diamond itself will chase The Second Coming & Phi when provoked into anger until it was withdrawn by the efforts of The Second Coming and Phi.
