| ~ Four in Branch D, before summoning Zophiel. |
Four is a major antagonist of the 2013 role-playing game Drakengard 3.
She was voiced by Ayana Taketatsu in Japanese and Cristina Vee in English.
Biography[]
Origins[]
Four and the other Intoners came to be when Zero attempted to kill herself by destroying the Flower possessing her, each obtaining a fragment of Zero's powers. They took the forms of five girls that Zero shared her prison cell with. Starting off amoral, the fragments grew personalities of their own. After overthrowing the tyrannical lords of Midgard, the Intoners divided the land among each other. Four took over the Land of Mountains and appointed Decadus as her disciple. Zero then plotted to put an end to the Intoners to destroy the Flower for good.
DLC[]
Four and Decadus are first in the Cathedral City fighting off soldiers left behind of the lords' armies under One's orders. They then come across Gabriella who agrees to help out as she was sent there to aid Four. After defeating enemy soldiers and monsters within the Cathedral City and the Land of Forests, Four goes to the Land of Deserts in search of hidden gems for One's treasury. After collecting a lot of jewels, Four tells Decadus and Gabriella about the elves they have previously dispatched became notorious air pirates and might be hoarding more jewels, explaining that they might one day again become potential threats.
On Gabriella, Four catches up to the elves' blimps and has Gabriella open fire on them. During their battle, Gabriella becomes concerned that the elves are not crying out for battle, but are actually in fear. Four ignores Gabriella's concerns, as to her the elves were not civilians, nor were they human. Upon destroying the mothership, Four celebrated her victory against ethnic cleansing the "evil" pirates.
Prologue[]
In the year 999, One invites her sisters to the Cathedral City. Four arrived on February 14th. She and the other Intoners fought against Zero on March 3rd, successfully managing to defeat her.
Branch A[]
Zero confronts Four on her airship above the Land of Mountains. Four refused to fight against Zero and sang, allowing Decadus to summon Armaros. While Zero fought against the flying fortress, Four tried to get away. Zero managed to defeat Armaros and landed on the airship. Zero manages to trick Four into thinking she wanted to be her friend. Happy that they could be sisters once more, Four hugs her. She also tells Zero of Three and Two's locations. But with her guard down, Zero stabs Four, mocking her for believing she had a split personality, slashing at Four repeatedly until she collapses to the ground from her injuries.
Branch B[]
Four is already dead in this branch.
Branch C[]
Four is already dead in this branch.
Branch D[]
Having gone mad from the Flower's influences, Four ambushes Zero within her fortress. She tells Zero that she'll become an Intoner killer once she kills her and summons Zophiel. After brawling both the Daemon and Four directly, Zero defeats her. Four pleads for mercy, but Zero doesn't buy it and stabs her in the throat. Mikhail then finishes Four by consuming her, leaving only her claw behind.
During the Final Song, the Flower takes the form of Four and the other Intoners as giant statues. After neutralizing its power, Mikhail seals the Flower within another world, with the statues crumbling to pieces.
Appearance[]
Four has blue eyes and long brown hair tied in the back as two ponytails, with a small "IV" on her forehead. She wears a green uniform on top of a long tan gown. Her right hand is covered by a long brown glove while her left is a large metallic claw with sharp spikes on the fingers, which is her weapon of choice. Her legs are covered with long stockings, blue and white socks, and leathery boots. Tied around her shoulders is a large green coat.
Personality[]
Four appears to be a friendly individual. She holds deep affections towards all of her sisters, particularly Zero as the Flower gave her false memories of her past, such as claiming Zero stood up to her bullies. She is terrified when Zero starts to kill the Intoners and tries reasoning with her for she held no desire to fight or take her life.
However, underneath her seemingly childish personality lies a demon. Four is driven completely by envy, envious of her sisters for their specialties and craving praise from One. She despises anything that was not human, such as showing no showing pure enjoyment in massacring an entire fleet of elves whilst ignoring their screams and Gabriel's concerns. According to her Intoner Memories, Four hates everything, including herself.
Daemons[]
Armaros[]
| “ | Armaros, uphold! | „ |
The Impenetrable Shield of Antiquity, Armaros is a massive floating fortress held up by eight wyverns. Alongside its barrage of turrets, the fortress can manipulate its enemies' movement to draw them into one of its four buzz saw protected cores. The buzz saws will kill Mikhail unless he destroys the core in time. Additionally, the center core can detach itself from the rest of the fortress to shoot beams of energy.
Zophiel[]
| “ | Zophiel, come to me! | „ |
Zophiel is a large dragon summoned by Four at the cost of her sanity. Its design is almost identical to One's Gabriel, only the spikes on its wings are colored green instead of red, as well as green rings on its back. It attacks by shooting the rings at Mikhail.
Trivia[]
- Four is the only virgin among the Intoners.
- In a popularity poll hosted by Dengeki Online, Four was ranked as the second most popular character in the game behind Mikhail.
- Four claims that she has no use for jewelry, despite wearing earrings.
