The Four Beasts, also known as the Four Symbols, are supporting antagonists in the manga Record of Ragnarok Forbidden Legend - Apocalypse of The Gods, a spin-off of the manga/anime series Record of Ragnarok.
They are a group of four Gods commanded by Zhuque, belonging to the Chinese Pantheon and representing each one an animal of the Chinese constellation, also known as the best assassins of the Heavens, who have always completed their tasks even if it means cheating to succeed.

Their Leader is Zhuque, the Vermilion Bird, and the other three members are Qinglong, the Azure Dragon, Baihu, the White Tiger, and Xuanwu, the Black Tortoise.
They are also known as the best assassins of the Heavens, who have always completed their tasks even at the cost of cheating to succeed such as attacking the opponent by surprise or more than one.
Plot[]
The Four Beasts are a group of Deities belonging to the Chinese Pantheon consisting of the leader Zhuque and his three companions Qinglong, Baihu and Xuanwu. They are known as the best assassins in the Heavens, who have never failed a mission, completing it by any means necessary, earning Zhuque the nickname Unfair.
After the proclamation of the Ragnarok Tournament, Zhuque participates in the meeting of the Gods' Council in which Zeus announces the Gods Fighters that would fight in the Ragnarok Tournament representing the Gods. When many Gods become angry at the absence of their names, Sun Wukong points out that one name is missing from the list, and it is at that point that Zeus announces the Apocalypse Tournament between 16 Gods to win the last place in the Gods Fighters and the possibility of inserting a new law into the Constitution of Valhalla.
Zhuque also participates representing the Four Beasts. While waiting for his match, the Four Beasts witnesses the battle between Cú Chulainn and Ra-Horakhty, which ends with Cú Chulainn's victory. Zhuque, unlike his companions, immediately understands why Cú Chulainn managed to win, and for this he is complimented by Morrígan, who reaches them revealing that she intends to kill Cú Chulainn, even outside the Apocalypse Tournament if necessary, and that if a way is not found to counteract the Gáe Bolg Cú Chulainn will win the Tournament.
When it's time for Zhuque's Round of 16 match against Indra, Zhuque sends Qinglong, Baihu and Xuanwu to kill Indra outside the Arena or otherwise prevent him from entering the ring, in order to win his match by disqualification. Indra manages to defeat Zhuque's three companions without any problems, but Xuanwu manages to keep him blocked until the moment of disqualification, nevertheless Zhuque decides to reach them and personally fight Indra inside the arena, bringing a camera with him so that everyone can see the fight.
Powers and Abilities[]
Divine Physiology, Strength and Stamina: Being all Gods, they all possess Divine characteristics that allow them to never age and not being able to die of old age or at the hands of deadly weapons. However, they can be injured and killed by physical attacks with superhuman strength or by Divine Weapons. They also possess abilities superior to those of ordinary Humans, such as attack, defense and speed much higher than normal.
Assassination Skills: As the best assassins in the Heavens, the Four Beasts have excellent assassination skills that have allowed them to never fail a mission. Despite this, Qinglong, Baihu and Xuanwu did not prove strong and skilled enough to defeat Indra in a three-on-one match.
Divine Weapons: The Four Beasts are experts in using Divine Weapons, as Xuanwu uses knives in combat, while Qinglong's main weapon is a sword.

- The "Four Beasts" are Mythological creatures appearing among the Chinese constellations along the ecliptic and viewed as the guardians of the four cardinal directions. These four creatures are also referred to by a variety of other names, including "Four Symbols", "Four Guardians", "Four Gods" and "Four Auspicious Beasts".
