Cahu was voiced by Jenny Slate who also voiced Dawn Bellwether from Zootopia, Vuli was voiced by Mark Hamill who also voiced The Joker, Yolo was voiced by Fred Armise and Hetz was voiced by Andy García.
History
Background
Many centuries ago the Shadows of the Night were somehow able to break out of their world and into the EverRealm and they started terrorizing the realm. Luckily the Maruvians using the Jewel of Maru were able to stop the Shadows of the Night and banished them to the spirit realm. But the magic was so powerful it sent all the Maruvians to the spirit world as well and destroyed the kingdom of Maru, which would ultimately lead to the founding of the kingdom of Avalor.

Trivia
- The Four Shades of Awesome are the Greater-Scope as they are indirectly responsible for everything that happens in Elena of Avalor, including Shuriki's invasion and Princess Sofia's use of the Amulet of Avalor, as it was their actions that resulted in the kingdom of Maru being destroyed and thus Avalor being built in the first place.
- Unlike Cahu, Vuli, Yolo, and Hetz are shown to be very silly and are shown to care about each other.
- Following Ash's defeat, Cahu became the final antagonist.
- Despie being the final antagonists, they weren't Elena's final test, Esteban was.
