Frangen is a captain of the Akuma Clan and an antagonist in episode 27 of Akumaizer 3.
He is voiced by the late Hiroshi Ōtake, who previously voiced Hikouman and Reidoman in Robot Detective, and later voiced President Gynamo in Gekisou Sentai Carranger.
Biography[]
Frangen targeted Dr. Okubo, seeking to have the doctor's brain transplanted into him. He made an attempt to kidnap the doctor, but Xavitan showed up to rescue him. As Dr. Okubo fled to safety, the rest of the Akumaizer 3 showed up to do battle against Frangen. However, Frangen was able to repel all of them with his brute strength.
Having failed to kidnap Dr. Okubo, Frangen decided to target his son Masaru instead. However, he mistook Mitsuhiko, who was playing with Masaru's glasses, as Masaru and kidnapped him instead. While Xavitan and Darunia headed down to Downworld to investigate Frangen's plan, Evil and Gabra attacked Frangen's base to rescue Mitsuhiko. The two untied Mitsuhiko, but Frangen appeared to confront him. Gabra shifted into his "Gabra-cho" form to fight Frangen, but Frangen smacked his head repeatedly to fight him off. Xavitan then appeared, disguised as Dr. Okubo, and pretended to offer himself up to have his brain transplanted. Once he lay on the table however, Xavitan revealed his true identity and battled Frangen while Mitsuhiko escaped. As the fight led outside, Evil shot off Frangen's back face using his Jo Gun, leaving him with a weak spot the Akumaizer 3 could exploit. The Akumaizer 3 then performed their Magic Circle Attack on him and defeated him.
