Frank Elgyn is a major character in the Alien Resurrection. He was the captain of the smuggling ship the Betty and he and his crew were responsible for delivering kidnapped civilians to scientists aboard the USM Auriga.
He was portrayed by Michael Wincott who also played Scroop in Treasure Planet, Armand Dorleac in The Count of Monte Cristo, Top Dollar in The Crow, Michael Korda in Metro, Gary Soneji in Along Came a Spider, Philo Gant in Strange Days, Mr. Big in NARC, Jules Merit in Syndicate, Guy of Gisbourne in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Prophet of Truth in Halo 2.

Frank Elgyn was born in 2344 to his mother, Beatrice "Betty" Martin. He at one point became the captain of the smuggling ship Betty, which he named after his mother.
Alien Resurrection[]
Elgyn and his crew arrived at the USM Auriga and delivered kidnapped civilians and asked General Peréz for payment. When the crew was confronted by Dr. Wren after Call attempted to sabotage their Xenomorph cloning project and he ordered Christie to take out the USM soldiers. Afterwards, Elgyn confronted Call about the accusations and threatened to kill her if she lied to him. But as Calli tried to explain about the existence of Wren's Xenomorph cloning project, the Xenomorphs escaped and started hunting down the crew aboard the ship. The Betty survivors elected to make for their ship and escape, but on the way, Elgyn discovered a weapon laying on the ground and wandered off alone to retrieve it. However, the gun was a trap set by a Xenomorph who pulled out the grated floor dirrectly beneath him and Elgyn was dragged halfway in. As he desperateley tried to get out of the deathtrap, the Xenomorph punctured Elgyn's chest with it's inner jaws, killing him instantly.
