Because there's one thing about these old timers: they don't like any f-cking around with the other guys' wives. It's bad for business. Biography[]
Frank Marino is a mobster who serves as the right-hand man of Nicky Santoro and helps the latter rule Las Vegas. He was first seen when he and Nicky were hired to protect the latter's best-friend, Ace, and the whole operation. He is present with Ace and Nicky when Nicky viscously stabs and kicks a man who insults Sam. He joins him in ambushing Tony Dogs, Nicky beat up Dogs for two days and two nights with help from Frankie and Dominick, but Dogs never talked. When Nicky puts Dogs' head in a vice to get him to talk, he refused, so Nicky tightened the vice to make his eye pop out, Dogs later admitted the man was Charlie M. Frankie later finishes him off by slitting his throat.
Remo Gaggi tells Marino to tell Nicky to handle things quieter when Nicky threatened Ace's banker and that he needs to calm down and handle things better.
Frankie later shows up back home to meet with the bosses again and Ace narrates that when he got back hom the "packages got smaller and small and that he didnt know if he was gonna be kissed or killed". Frankie gets asked by Gaggi if Marino whether he knows if Nicky's sleeping with Ace's wife, Ginger and he lies and says he hasn't, even narrating that he knew it could get Ace, Ginger, and Nicky killed if he told the truth, even though he's putting his own life in danger. He later gets assigned to kill Ace if he tells Gaggi about the affair.
Later on, after when Ace and Nicky have a heated argument in the desert about the former talking behind the latter's back, Frankie is seen commenting that they "have company" when Ace pretends to not know who Nicky is in a nightclub. Frankie accompanies Nicky at the Tangiers casino to spite Ace despite Nicky being blacklisted from every casino in Las Vegas. Frankie watches as Nicky threatens Billy Sherbert and intimidates a blackjack dealer and tells him when Ace shows up to tell Nicky to leave before he is caught. Nicky loses his temper on Billy when he stares at him and beats the latter with a pay telephone, Frankie gets up and stops Nicky from harming Billy any further and tells him to get out of the casino.
Frankie is also present at Nicky's restaurant with Nicky and Dominick when Nicky calls Ace to inform him of Ginger's location and is shown talking to another woman at the bar when Ace shows up to confront Ginger on tying their daughter Amy to the bed and locking her in her room and watches as both cause a scene and leave the restaurant. When Ginger shows up at Nicky's restaurant in a fit of rage after Ace divorces her, he stops her from entering the restaurant while she asks where Nicky is as she want to have Ace whacked. Nicky shows up and take her to a room upstairs so they can talk. Ginger wants Nicky to have Ace whacked but Nicky refuses and ends their affair. Ginger hits Nicky and they end up fighting upstairs and end up fighting down the staircase where Frankie shows up and tells them both to take it easy. Frankie helps Nicky throw Ginger out for disowning him and watches as Ginger declares that she has her own money and is going to the FBI before she drives off. Nicky and Frankie head back inside where Nicky expresses his regrets of having an affair with Ginger although Frankie tells him to take it easy. Later, when Nicky skips town, the FBI executives search the warrants in his house and the Gold Rush and Frankie, Dominick and the rest of the crew were arrested.
Later, when Ace's car explodes from a bomb hidden under it, Gaggi believes Nicky was responsible for it and decides to have him killed and orders Frankie to have him whacked. Nicky arranges a meeting with Frankie and the others in the cornfield where he and his brother Dominick meet the other men after they posted bail. Suddenly, Frankie walks up behind Nicky and attacks him with a baseball bat and has him held by the other men and forced to watch while he beats Dominick to a bloody pulp, along with the other men and then strips him and buries him unconscious, and they later do the same to Nicky who was put in the grave with Dominick and Frankie watches as the men bury Nicky and Dominick.
