Frank Rodriguez is the minor antagonist of The Mentalist TV-show. He is a janitor of the company, where Kimball Cho's best friend worked. He was played by David Barrera.
Biography[]
During another working day, Patrick Jane shows his colleague Wayne Rigsby tricks with a coin. At this time, their other colleague Kimball Cho is approached by the grandmother of a member of the gang, in which Cho himself was once a member. The grandson's name was David and he was recently killed. Now his grandmother wants Kimball to find the killer. Kimball decides to figure it out himself. But the rest of his team insist on their participation. Kimball and Patrick Jane, who has joined him, interrogate members of the same criminal group, in which both David and Kimball himself once belonged. But they know nothing about his death. Kimball, meanwhile, begins dating a girl, but someone breaks into their room and beats Kimball's girlfriend in front of him. Soon, the CBI goes to the company where David worked. Interrogations of the company's employees begin. It turns out that the manager of that company, Adam Reed, distributed drugs and slept with a subordinate against her will. It also turns out that one of David's colleagues, Frank Rodriguez, wanted to steal money from the accounts and tried to involve David in it. Kimball, suspecting that one of them killed David, attacks both of them with his fists. He kills Adam Reed and demands Frank Rodriguez confess to the murder, which he does. It soon turns out that Kimball did not kill Adam Reed, he (according to Patrick's plan) only pretended to. Soon, Frank's guilt in David's murder, and Adam's in drug distribution and rape are proven. They are arrested.
