Frankie Toscani is a minor antagonist in the Preacher comic book series and its television series adaptation of the same name.

He was hired by Herr Starr to keep Cassidy at bay while The Grail awaited for Jesse Custer's arrival in their military base.

He was portrayed by Lachy Hulme.

Biography

When it came to organized crime in New York, the Toscani crime family was at the top of the food chain. They had a long history with the russian mob, who were trying to put them down, but always failed. When the Toscanis retaliated, the russians got severely worn down. Until one night, when Frankie met a girl at a bar. She seduced him and invited him to her house. Little did he know, she was working for the russians. Upon stepping at her door, he was knocked unconscious. He woke up tied into a chair, naked, and surrounded by russian mobsters. After they had their fun insulting Frankie, a large Cossack man grabbed a gardening shear and had Frankie's penis chopped off. He became a laughing stock ever since that day, and his family turned their back on him.

Some time later, Herr Starr hired Frankie to torture and slowly kill Cassidy, who was locked in a basement in Masada. Frankie accepted, as this is the only way to feel any kind of pleasure after the incident. From a higher ground than Cassidy, Frankie would repeatedly shoot and disembowel him, in an attempt to wear him out of his regenerative powers. Eventually, Jesse Custer came to his rescue. After fighting through Allfather's forces and confronting Herr Starr, Custer found Cassidy's location. By using the power of Genesis, Jesse commanded Toscani to miss all his shots. Once he got close enough to him, Jesse punched Toscani to Cassidy's level, breaking his neck. While unable to move, Cassidy drank all his blood in order to get his strength back.
