Freeze is a mobster and a supporting antagonist in the 1994 film The Mask. He is also a friend and right hand men of Dorian Tyrell. He also calls himself "The Doctor".
He was portrayed by the late Reg E. Cathey, who also portrayed Martin Querns in Oz.
History[]
Freeze was a henchman of Tyrell who he is loyal to. Freeze even joined in Tyrell's cause into replacing Niko with Tyrell as the mob boss of Edge City. Unfortunately, Niko's henchmen discovered Tyrell's plot and brought him to their boss. Niko ordered Tyrell to leave Edge City in one week otherwise he would kill him.
However, Tyrell refused to abandon his plans and sent Freeze, Sweet Eddy, Orlando and an unnamed henchman to rob a bank. The robbery was foiled by The Mask who robbed the bank instead. Freeze was mortally wounded in the aftermath due to being shot several times in the stomach and retreated to the Coco Bongo. His boss Dorian Tyrell offered him a cigarette, but Freeze died in the process of lighting it after succumbing to his wounds. The Mask later mentioned the death of Freeze to Dorian when interrogating him by saying Funeral bouquets are deducticle,in which what Dorian even more fed up and wanted to finish him off, A police officer later found his body when Lt. Kellaway leads the police officers into the Coco Bongo Club.
