| ~ Big Beard to Naru about her helping them hunt down the Feral Predator |
The French Fur Trappers are secondary antagonists in the 2022 film Prey which is the fifth movie in the Predator series. They were a group of trappers from France lead by Big Beard who went to the Untied States to hunt down animals and landed on Great Plains territory that was owned by the Comanche Tribe and they would face the Feral Predator and they would try to hunt it down. They would kidnap Naru and Taabe two Comanche Tribe members and use them as bait.
They were played by Mike Paterson for Big Beard, Nelson Leis for Waxed Mustache, Bennett Taylor for Raphael Adolini, Troy Mundle for Spyglass, Stephan Schroeder for Rambert, and Stephane Legault and Eric Beaudoin for unnamed trappers.
Biography[]
Arriving in the Great Plains[]
They were a group of trappers from France and were led by Big Beard. They arrived in Great Plains territory that was controlled by Comanche Tribe and they began hunting buffaloes for their hides and being hostile to the Comanche Tribe . Until one unknown encounter with the Feral Predator made Big Beard and his men plan to either kill or capture it.
The Predator Hunting Plan[]
The Trappers were able to capture Comanche war chief Taabe and later Big Beard, his right hand Waxed Mustache, also two other unnamed trappers found Naru a Comanche woman and sister to Taabe trapped in one of their bear traps. Big Beard would then knock her unconscious with the butt of his musket and kidnap her and lock her in a makeshift cage to take out information about the Feral Predator. Then Big Beard would then torment Naru with a stick which would end with Naru cutting his hand after she seized his stick after he and Waxed Mustache approached her. This caused Big Beard to grab his translator Raphael to get her to help them on their hunt while Waxed Mustache taunts Naru. Then Raphael would toss Waxed Mustache and Raphael would try to convince Naru to tell what she knew about the Feral Predator that was hunting them. Naru would refuse,so the trappers revealed they captured Taabe and Big Beard would slowly slice Taabe's chest with a knife while other trappers held him in place. Then the trappers would put their plan in action with tied Taabe and Naru, while other trappers would stay in the French Fur camp and while Rambert, Spyglass, and 4 other trappers would be lookout for the rest of the trappers. The Feral Predator would slice the four other trappers and Spyglass would tell Rambert to shoot it but is killed off-screen. Then Spyglass would run away and warn the others about the Feral Predator but is decapitated by a spear thrown by the Feral Predator. Then the Feral Predator would step into their trap and the Feral Predator would break out and begin massacres the trappers. Then Big Beard, Waxed Mustache and the remaining trappers would shoot at the Feral Predator but it failed. Then the Feral Predator dropped Wrist Gauntlet and released some proximity mines to killing Waxed Mustache and the remaining trappers at the Predator battle field while Big Beard runs off.The Naru would go to the trappers camp and see the other four trappers and before one of the trappers kills Naru's dog Sarii. Naru attacks the four trappers and kills them all. Raphael who survived a Cut Clamp attack that bisect would come back to the camp and make a deal with Naru to help heal him with the trade of his flintlock. Then Naru would hide and Raphael would play dead because the Feral Predator made it to the trappers camp. Unfortunately the Feral Predator stepped on Raphael and the kill him.
Big Beard's Death[]
Big Beard would escape to a nearby stream for some water but Naru would surprise attack him and knock him out like what him did to her. Naru would cut one of his feet and allow a rat to eat his wound. Then Big Beard awoke and looked at his wound with fear. Then Big Beard would grab a musket and shoot at Naru but it was a trap and the musket was unloaded. The trap leads out the Feral Predator who notices Big Beard's gun and decapitates Big Beard with his Combistick. Big Beard's head would be used as the Feral Predator's new trophy allowing Naru to jump on the Feral Predator and shot it in the back with a flintlock pistol.
