Ice cream just has to have some vanilla in it and it's especially good to eat while watching the freezing of the ones who defied me the most.
~ Frost Walrus explaining his hobby when resting in his collection of frozen reploid remains.

Frost Walrus is a minor antagonist featured in Yoshihiro Iwamoto's manga adaptation of Mega Man X4 during chapters 6 and 7.

Biography[]

Frost Walrus is introduced enjoying his ice cream in his room full of remains of maverick hunters he killed and frozen in ice. Just then, Colonel reprimands him for engaging in violence that has nothing to do with the mission. Frost Walrus claims he is trying to keep the room under control. Colonel explains it would not take long with the murderer's brute strength. Frost Walrus tells him that nobody treats people like him as single-minded with just their brute strength. Colonel tells him to get on the mission much to the latter's frustration and threatens to tear him down with brute force like his other victims. Colonel threatens to let General know what atrocities Walrus engaged in despite having saved him from disposal and the revolution is the will of General. Frost Walrus still insists he can do without being told what he needs to do.

Colonel counters that he is General's messenger as he arms himself with a cannon and slams a sword into the ground as he will not tolerate the Walrus's usage of the revolt for his own selfish whims before leaving. Once Colonel is gone, he proceeds to let loose dozens of helpless reploids just to make a hunting game out of killing as many of them as he can. Just when he was going to kill the sole survivor, X intervenes with the help of Blizzard Buffalo so that the survivor can escape. Both of them proceed to take the murderous mammal robot on when he proceeds to use his brute strength to deal with the two of them. When X attacks from above, Frost Walrus strikes with his shoulder to impale him. The prompts Blizzard Buffalo to block the killer's path as he was trying to kill X.

Just then, Frost Walrus stabs X's friend in the back, leading to him freezing in a block of ice while X gets away. Later, Frost Walrus was enjoying his ice cream in a room of dead reploids who held out for 20 seconds each when X bursts in with a ride armor to put a stop to his schemes by unleashing all its weapons on both the collection and the murderer who was planning to get X as he ended three wars.

Angry at the damages X inflicted, he proceeded to tear the former's ride armor apart. But X manages to use its dismantled parts to set the room on fire, ruining Frost Walrus's ice cream. Then proceeded to use one as a melee weapon against him, engulfing him in fire. Frost Walrus, enraged at the humiliation, grabs X as he was about to fire his buster at him, intending to use him to restart the frozen corpse collection when General blows a hole through the maverick's body, killing him.
