“ | You don't know what we've been through... | „ |
~ The Bidybabs in the trailer for Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. |
“ | There’s no doubting what you’ve achieved on a technical level. These are clearly state-of-the-art. There are just certain design choices that were made for these robots that we don’t fully understand. | „ |
~ A board member talking to William Afton about the Funtimes. |
“ | Due to the massive success and, even more so, the unfortunate closing of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, it was clear that the stage was set (no pun intended) for another contender in children's entertainment. Unlike most entertainment venues, our robotic entertainers are rented out for private parties during the day, and it's your job to get the robots back in proper working order before the following morning. | „ |
~ HandUnit telling Michael Afton about the Funtimes' creation and purposes. |
The Funtime Animatronics are the main antagonists of Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location and the secondary antagonists of Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator.
They are a plethora of animatronic entertainers created by William Afton and owned by Afton Robotics, LLC as part of Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rental, in which they are rented out to perform at various parties across the area. Unbeknownst to many, William constructed them with mechanisms that allowed them to kidnap and kill any children at those parties before bringing their corpses to William so he could experiment on them.
Eventually, the combined main four Funtimes escaped their location by inhabiting Michael Afton's body until it decomposed. Afterwards, the animatronics' leader, Circus Baby, was evicted from the amalgamation, although all four would eventually be reunited as they were incinerated by Henry Emily.
Appearances[]
The Funtime Animatronics are all high-tech, artificially intelligent animatronics with a clownish aesthetic created by William Afton which are equipped with modifications for audience entertainment, such as ice cream dispensers, song databanks and aromas producers, as well as features that allow them to capture and kill children, such as illusionary technology, storage tanks, and claws. The four main animatronics, as well as Music Man, Lolbit (in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted) and Funtime Chica, are built with wire endoskeletons covered by shiny metal exoskeletons with white and blue/pink color schemes. The main four's heads are also quarterly separated into face plates and have two colored blush marks on each side of their faces, as well as eyebrows of various colors. The rest of the animatronics (particularly the Bidybabs and Minireenas) are miniature animatronics with more humanoid designs, as well as skin-colored plates alongside their white exoskeletons.
Upon combining, the main four become an amalgamation of wires and eyeballs that continue to contain the animatronics' AI. Able to change into various forms and appearances, they take at least two forms: as Ennard, they domineered by Circus Baby and are an upright humanoid with a clown mask for a face, also temporarily inhabiting Michael Afton corpse until it decomposes, and as Molten Freddy, they are lead by Funtime Freddy, have lost their structure, and wear a rusty metal bear mask.
History[]
following the closure of the first Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza after the Missing Children Incident, the Funtime Animatronics were built by William Afton, manufactured by his company Afton Robotics and meant to be used for Fazbear Entertainment. The Funtimes were set to be the mascots of Circus Baby's Pizza World. Circus Baby’s Pizza World also had a springlock suit but it was apparently never used. William secretly modified the animatronics to include apparatus that would allow for them to kidnap and kill any children in the pizzeria in order to experiment on their corpses for remnant. At some point, Funtime Chica and Music Man somehow found themselves in the Rare Finds Auction as 2/3 of the "Posh Pizzeria" trio, alongside El Chip.
William's daughter, Elizabeth, was amazed by the Funtimes, particularly Circus Baby, and wanted to see her like the other children could, but was forbidden by her father (likely because of their true intentions). One day, when Afton wasn't looking, Elizabeth snuck into the pizzeria and came face to face with Baby, who gave her an ice cream. However, upon picking it up, Elizabeth was grabbed by Baby's claw and pulled into the animatronic, killing her and causing her spirit to inhabit the animatronic. Afton covered up this incident by closing Circus Baby's Pizza World under the pretense of a "gas leak", hiding the Funtimes in the location under his house for years.Eventually, Fazbear Entertainment opened Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rental, a standalone service where the Funtimes are rented out to perform at numerous events within the vicinity, particularly children's birthday parties.
Within the location, each Funtime was situated in their own rooms, with Baby and the Bidybabs in Circus Gallery, Ballora and the Minireenas in Ballora Gallery, and Funtime Foxy, Funtime Freddy, Bon-Bon, and Yenndo in Funtime Auditorium (though Freddy and Bon-Bon apparently preferred to hide in the Breaker Room), with each room being reached through the Primary Control Module. Whenever the animatronics would malfunction during a party, they would be taken to the Scooping Room, where their endoskeletons were removed via the Scooper. Elsewhere, Afton monitored the Funtimes in the location's private surveillance room (from which he also remotely voiced his youngest son's teddy bear).
Around the time of Afton's death, his oldest son, Michael, applied for a job as a technician and nightguard at Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rental. There, the majority of the Funtimes attacked him during his jobs, except for Baby, who guided her brother safely through his work week. On the last day of his work week, Baby, Ballora, Foxy, and Freddy all had their endoskeletons scooped out and combined their bodies into an amalgamation named Ennard. They then tricked Michael into coming into the Scooping Room, where they fatally scooped out his organs, leaving his corpse a disemboweled husk which Ennard inhabited to escape into the outside.
Eventually, Michael's corpse decomposed, forcing Ennard to leave it in the streets where he was inexplicably resurrected (likely due to the remnant infused in his body by the Scooper). The other Funtimes were fed up with Baby bossing them around, so they evicted her from Ennard as Freddy took its helm and it became Molten Freddy. A few years afterwards, they were lured to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place (coincidentally where Funtime Chica and Music Man could be purchased to perform at). There, they attempted to kill Michael with the help of Afton, Baby, and the Puppet. However, their efforts proved fruitless as Henry Emily, the pizzeria's creator, Afton's former best friend, and the father of the Puppet's possessor, burned the entire pizzeria to the ground.
While the remnants of the Funtimes were destroyed in the fire, several Funtime animatronics were among the animatronics who tormented William in his own personal Hell created by one of his victims. Several also featured as fictional antagonists of the Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience, as well as the Fazbear Funtime Service. An amalgamation of animatronics bearing Funtime Freddy's face known as Tangle resided in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, but it's true nature, and any relation to Molten Freddy, is unclear.

Trivia[]
- It's possible that Mangle's design was inspired and based on that of Funtime Foxy's.
- Theory supports, as the two were white fox themed. With Mangle originally called Toy Foxy, before being torn apart by children who visits in Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria restaurant.
- It's heavily implied that the Security Puppet was the original form of The Puppet, before being possessed by the soul of Charlotte Emily.
- Theory confirmed these in his minigames, revealed about Charlotte Emily tragic events in the past.
- Yenndo was speculated as trial/precursor version of Funtime Freddy. Because Yenndo was previously implied to be Funtime Fredbear/Funtime Golden Freddy with his hand puppet nothing more being Bonnet, before being scrapped by William Afton at some point in the Afton Robotics LLC.
- These would made Yenndo to be the first Funtime Animatronics who have been scrapped, others would be Lolbit.
- One part of Funtime Chica's body has a hole in it, which implies that she was been reprogrammed by Henry Emily during events of FNaF 6 Pizzeria Simulator. Thus, make her being the truly first Funtime Animatronics who been reprogrammed to do good purposes.
- These later would be followed by the replica of Funtime Animatronics who created by Fazbear Funtime Service, as the replica of those animatronics have been reprogrammed by someone in the company, likely to entertained and bring joy to their customers.
- Security Puppet, Music Man, and Helpy are the only Funtime Animatronics with good intentions in Scott Cawthon era timelines.
- Many people think that Helpy was created by Henry Emily, because he has a helpful and intelligent nature.
- These theory was debunked, with William Afton being the original creator of Helpy.
- Excluding William Afton's amalgamation from non-canon novel FNaF series, DJ Music Man is considered to be the biggest Animatronic to have appears in FNaF franchise.
- The second would followed by Tangle, an pile of amalgamation animatronics fueled by agony (dark remnants), who's believed to be direct successor of Ennard and Molten Freddy.
- Funtime Animatronics shares similarities to The Mimic:
- They can imitate any sound. With Circus Baby imitate Elizabeth voice to help Michael, despite Circus Baby herself was possessed by Elizabeth soul. While, The Mimic imitate Gregory voice through walkie talkie, to lure Cassie enter the Freddy Fazbear MegaPizzaPlex.
- They are good skills at manipulating their preys/victims. Circus Baby manipulate Michael to enter Scooping Room, while Mimic manipulate Cassie to shutdown the M.X.E.S systems.
- They can combine their bodies into one identity. In these case, Ennard being amalgamation of Funtime Animatronics, where as Burntrap being amalgamation of The Mimic with likely Scraptrap and Glamrock Endoskeleton parts.
- They can easily enter the bodies of their victims. After Michael internal body gets scooped, his body was being wore by Ennard as skinsuit. In the Mimic case, due to its unique endoskeleton, Mimic can enter its victim body.
