Trivia[]
- The Furies are based on the Erinyes, the goddesses of vengeance who shared the same name in Greek mythology.
- The Furies are sisters towards Aphrodite.
- While Alecto is the birth mother of Orkos, all three sisters consider him their son, and he considers them all as "mother." Although, these labels aren't affectionate, rather matter-of-fact.
- Each of the Furies has a mystical creature association.
- Megaera - from pores in her chest, she spawns numerous parasitic arthropods, which infest dead and living bodies, mutating them into insectoid warriors. The parasites can infest a body as small as a human or large as the Hecatonchries (albeit only segments, e.g. hands, arms, and head).
- Tisiphone - she is accompanied by a phoenix-like creature known as Daimon, which can blow fire and also seems to have superstrength.
- Alecto - transforms into a Kraken-like monster. The adhesive black ink she projects, even in human form, reinforces the cephalopod connection.
- Ironically, their plot with Ares to overthrow Olympus was prevented by Kratos, only for him to later undertake it himself (albeit, their motives were conquest, whereas his was simply revenge).
