Furrington Industries are the main villains in the 2020 books trilogy They Threw Us Away written by Daniel Kraus, they are the creators of the main characters, but the bears we;'re made carelessly, and had one fatal flaw. the new fabric fur they were made in was highly flammable, but didn't release smoke or a odor so after several near deaths, the bears were recalled, and while some were destroyed, others, like our main casts, were thrown to the dump, but everywhere the main characters go, trying to find out where they are from, Furrington cause them trouble.

the beginning[]
after hearing of a woman known as the mother, making money off of teddy bears she is selling to her friends, a man only known as the suit pays her a ungodly amount of money for her teddy designs, and after several arguments, she sold them but told him that he needed to keep the softest fabric in the world, the glass eyes and the hearts inside of them. But after selling she went along with the one bear she kept, Proto to his factory and found out they we're being made in mass and all the things she was promised to be kept, we're being shortcutted to make the bears cheaper, and in anger, the mother would storm out, unaware that she had dropped Proto, who was picked up and trapped by the suit as a relic of the beginning of Furringtons.
they threw us away[]
in the book, the crew meet with a older teddy named Pookie, who told them not to try to get back to the store and industry because " they do bad things" and that lost her leg on the journey trying to get there. the crew are trying to find their way back to the store they are from, but when they get there, they see a memo and at first they think it is good, but then when they get caught by a janitor, and get thrown into a dumpster full of dismembered teddy parts, and they lean that the memo is that if anyone see any Furringtons they are to destroy them. the crew are able to escape and when they make it inside a mailbox, they meet with the huge teddy amalgamation known as MAD who tells them to find "genesis way" but for the information, she tries to take body parts from each of them, and nearly kills Sugar, but they escape her and continue on the way, until they get found and taken to a kid.
they stole our hearts[]
after the death of sugar, the remaining teddies find a old poster for the factory tour, and they start working their way in, where they see the extent of the teddy murder, as there are beheaded teddies in the fence, but soon the teddies make it to a teddy hideout, and they meet with a horrific teddy known as " the forgiver" who tells them that the teddies are bad, evil, and poisonous, but soon after a flood is brought into the cellar, they climb the stairs and find out they were there the whole time. The odd thing is that police tape is over the doors, and everything is abandoned, and then they find, Proto still trapped in a glass case.
they set the fire[]
after freeing Proto, Buddy tells Sunny the truth about furrington industries, and she becomes angry with him, but that isn't the hardest thing happening at the moment as they learn that the suit is on trial for all his crimes, so after getting some armor they try to get to the courthouse, but after a quick adventure with a kid who attacks them, they get there, but they needed to get into the guarded evidence locker, and bravely Sunny sacrifices herself, by burning herself alive, the three teddies left make it in, and see that a lot of the exhibits weren't even alive, and were just ash, but they meet a half burned teddy named Q who tells them, that he didn't want to be bad, and it was all the industries fault. Buddy, Proto, and Reginald would leave. eventually they would find the mother, who would fix them, while the suit gets arrested.

- if we trust the amount of teddy parts in the dumpster, plus pookie's cemetery of sorrow, the company has a body count of at least 100
- there are lots of clues given to show why the teddies were thrown away, this includes:
- all the boxes in the cemetery of sorrow are burned
- the forgiver and the cellar teddies are told they are poisonous and scrape off their fur
- he says the poison is embedded in them
- MAD says they aren't going to be safe at genesis way.
