Futaba Masashige more commonly known as Futaomote is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Senzai Uchiumi) of the 2021 Roblox horror game The Mimic, serving as the main antagonist of its prequel game mode The Witch Trials and one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside the Evil God and Kusonoki Masashige) of its first chapter Control's Book. She is the impulsive mother of Hiachi Masashige, before becoming a pawn of Kintoru.
Biography[]
Early life[]
It is unknown how Futaba as cursed as her new lore hasn't been revealed yet. However, it is known that she was married into the Masashige family and had her first and only child - Hiachi, in 1632 when she was 22 years old. In 1640 (when she was 30) her and Hiachi were cursed by Kintoru, it's unknown what happened to her husband.
The Witch Trials[]
Centuries after being cursed, during the events of the Witch Trials, Futaba's Calm and Impulsive sides (Futao being her calm side and Mote being her impulsive side) tried to chase and kill her descendant, Keiko. After Keiko manages to complete all of her tasks, Futaba appears in front of her and realizes that she wasn't a bad mother after all, and that she was tricked by the witch who made her do all that.
Control's Book[]
Although she has no role in Control's Book, Yasu can see her in the Ancestors Hallway in Jealousy: Chapter IV, holding her daughter, Hiachi. After Yasu kills Saigomo, she, along with her daughter were free from the witch's curse and pass on to the afterlife.

- She was the one that gave Shaku to Hiachi Masashige, not knowing that the doll is actually another one of their ancestors.
- Her real name is "Futaba", "Futaomote" is simply an alias for her, a cruel nickname given by Kintoru.[1]
- The yellow dialogues in The Witch Trials normal mode were actually Futaba speaking to Keiko telepathically at the ending cutscene.
- Mote is faster than Futao.
- After beating The Witch Trials in Nightmare mode, Mote's dialogue changes to tell Keiko about The Four Beasts' sealed locations through a poem.
- The name Futaba (双羽) means "two wings".
- Her nickname "Futaomote" (双面) means "two faces".
- She is the only monster in The Witch Trials to not crawl.
