Fuwatti is the secondary antagonist of the Ao Oni franchise. It is one of many man-eating demons who live in the abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town, presenting obstacles towards the game's protagonist, Hiroshi.
Biography[]
The Fuwatti is a rectangular-like creature that lives in the old building of the abandoned mansion on the outskirts of a town in Japan. Not much is known about the Fuwatty, but it lives with many creatures that resemble it. It is known to feed upon people. In the AoOni vers. 2.0 movie, it has been shown that the Fuwatty can multiply itself and transform into an upgraded version of itself.
Appearance[]
Ao Oni[]
Fuwatti is a lavender rectangular oni creature with small arms. Its mouth is full of sharp teeth and seems to be a little bit stray-eyed. When it chase the player, it is infamous for occasionally breaking into a quick sprint for a second. During its sprints it can only travel forward in one direction; the player can use this trait to avoid being caught by it. It is impossible to escape from this Oni inside a closet, due to its high speed when moving and the fact that it will closely trail the player into a room giving virtually no time to hide.
Ao Oni ver. 2.0 (2015 film) []
Fuwatti was featured in the film Ao Oni ver. 2.0. It is depicted as a “levelled up” oni variant and it first appears before Hiroshi and Takuro as they’re making their way through the underground sections of the jailhouse. However it is revealed that there is more Fuwattis in this area, and they eventually combine and become one large entity. The giant Fuwatti begins to attack Takuro as Hiroshi heads up some stairs and manages to drop a massive container which lands on top of the Fuwatty, crushing it into a puddle of blue liquid. The film adapts the Fuwatti infamous "lunge" ability, as each Fuwatty encountered in the movie suddenly speeds towards Hiroshi and Takuro numerous times.

In the anime novels, it is give to have a more funny and cute appearance instead of being scary.
Personalities[]
Just like the oni, it was shown to be emotionless in spite of followed by murderous instinct to kill anyone who entered its mansion. It's also shown to have considerable intelligence, as it is able to found the victims easy by its speed and vision.
In the movie, It was given to a fluffy personality when Hiroshi and Takuro meet its for the first time. After its upgrade, it displayed sadistic, ferocious and violence tendencies, as it enjoys to chase its victims by his high speed.
Powers and Abilities[]
It is known for its high speed. In the movie, the Fuwatti’s have the ability to multiplying itself and turning into a giant entity. When it sees Hiroshi and Takuro face to face, he runs rapidity in straight line and try to attack them. However, it is easy to escape its attack at first, after its upgrade, the difficulty will rise.

Trivia[]
- Fuwatty is the first oni to be rectangular.
- It is unknown that Fuwatty is the cat’s owner in the old building in the game AoOni.
- One theory by most fans is that the cat that runs past the player, or whom some fans name as, "Tama", is Blockman's cat.
- received a film debut in Summer 2015 in the Ao Oni film sequel. His name in the film is フワッティー (Fuwatty).
- In Ao Oni Ver.2.0 the trailer reveals that Fuwatty will possess his method of chase "the lunge" from the game.
- Fuwatty is revealed to be a levelled up version of the original Oni.
- In an early photo of the movie CGI model of Fuwatty it depicted him without arms, in later photos the character was updated to have arms.
