G'huun is a major antagonist in the Warcraft universe, and was a major antagonist in the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Although not one of the four primordial Old Gods of Azeroth, and far weaker than them, G'huun was still a genuine Old God, and as such, represented a planet level threat to the world. An unspeakable horror of pestilence and corruption, G'huun was described as the ultimate parasite who could not stop himself from devouring anything and everything around him until all was destroyed.
Biography
G'huun was "born" eons ago when the Titans were still in the process of trying to bring order to a young Azeroth. In attempting to try and understand how the parasitic horrors the Old Gods worked, they inadvertently created a fifth monstrosity. Realizing the catastrophic error, G'huun was locked away in the Titan facility of Uldir. However, much like the other of its kind, over time, G'huun's influence seeped and spread beyond its prison, corrupting the Trolls that lived in Nazmir. Its essence, underrot, began corrupting Uldir and everything around it to such a degree that it almost succeed in manipulating events that would have seen it break free to unleash its terror upon the world.
Personality
G'huun is the ultimate parasite. It is pestilence, rot, hunger and evil incarnate. Much like the older beings of its kind, it has an unstoppable need to corrupt everything around it, and even though it was not a member of the ancient group of Old Gods before it, still sought to accomplish the same goal; Corrupt the World Soul of Azeroth and bring about the end of all life and order on the planet, and in turn, unleash a dark Titan to bring about the end of all of reality.
Powers and Abilities
As an Old God, an eldritch parasitic monstrosity born from chaos and corruption, G'huun is one of the most powerful entities on Azeroth. Even though it is significantly weaker than the group of Old Gods from the primordial age of the world, G'huun by itself still represents a world ending threat. It is able to create and spread its own special kind of corruption called underrot to nearly limitless degrees, and everything this foul substance touches is almost instantly corrupted almost to a irredeemable level. It completely infested and overtook the Titan facility in which it was imprisoned, and as its corruption spread beyond, enslaved the local Trolls and turned them into insane, fanatical zealots who worshiped it like a god.
