Gahrann the Dreamer, simply known as Gahrann, is an antagonist in the 2013 LEGO Ninjago tie-in/prequel comic Stone Cold. He is the apparent ruler of the Dream World and an old enemy of Master Wu.
Biography[]
At some point, Gahrann fought Master Wu and was defeated by him and imprisoned in the Tower of Tears alongside his other adversaries. He remained there until Lord Garmadon destroyed the tower and had Gahrann go after Wu in an attempt to destroy him.
Gahrann confronted Wu in his dream, disguised as the Fire Dragon Flame, telling him that he needed a rest after all the villains he has fought. However, Wu saw through his disguise when he mentioned a villain he hasn't faced yet, forcing Gahrann to reveal himself. Wu attempted to attack him with Spinjitzu but Gahrann revealed he has made him forget how to spin in his dream. The two engaged in a battle through the Dream World and Gahrann eventually grew tired of Wu and, turning big, threw him into a lake. Gahrann then disguised himself as a young Garmadon, tricking Wu that he was never bitten by the Great Devourer and everything from that point on was a dream. He then told Wu that the guards captured a few troublemakers, but Wu recognised them as Kai, Jay, Zane and Cole, the boys he was about to requit to his ninja team. Wu then once again forced Gahrann out of his disguise, to which Gahrann told him to wake up, which Wu promptly did so, before going on to track down the rest of his enemies instead of waiting for them to attack him. Gahrann was never seen again after this.
Trivia[]
- Gahrann, along with the Insect Master and the Mask of Malice are the only villains in the comic not to be defeated by Wu, and one of the few Ninjago villains who have not been fully defeated yet.
- Due to having full control over the Dream World and other people's dreams, Gahrann is arguably one of the most powerful villains in the Ninjago universe, alongside the Overlord, the Omega, the Preeminent and Nadakhan.
