Gaia Soldiers are superpowered warriors created by Crown and antagonists in Shichisei Toshin Guyferd. They are Metalferds who have had their powers further enhanced through the Tablet of Daruga. They report exclusively to Crown's leader Zodiac.
History[]
After obtaining the Tablet of Daruga, Zodiac used it to upgrade his remaining Metalferds into Gaia Soldiers for use in his ultimate plan, Operation Gaia. The Gaia Soldiers were assigned to steal the three artifacts needed to power the Gaia Net, the Divine Mirror, Seven Star Sword and Dragon Crystal. The first Gaia Soldier to be deployed was Rudra, who was able to steal the Divine Mirror for Crown at the cost of his own life. The next Gaia Soldier to be sent out was Scarabeth, who was assigned to guard Hattori, an archeologist who had sided with Crown and was working with them to translate the Hokushin documents that would reveal the location of the Seven Star Sword.
Crown eventually discovered that the Seven Star Sword was already in the possession of a gallery owner named Kubota, though obtaining it cost the lives of two more Gaia Soldiers. Django was then sent out to obtain the Dragon Crystal, but failed when it fused with Gou and gave him the power to destroy him. Things became more compounded when Deathferd resurfaced and sided with his brother to stop Crown from obtaining the Dragon Crystal. The final Gaia Soldier to be sent out was Valcanon, who died holding off Deathferd while Gou was kidnapped by Zodiac and brought to Crown's lair to have the Dragon Crystal used to complete the Gaia System.
Trivia[]
- The Gaia Soldiers gain their power from an artifact called the "Tablet of Daruga". Another Toho tokusatsu work, Genseishin Justirisers, features a villain named Daruga.
