Gaku Jou was a minor antagonist in the popular historical seinen anime and manga series, Kingdom. He was a Great General in the state of Zhao Military and a relative to the late Gaku Ki, the legendary Military God.
Gaku Jou would make his first appearance after a newly crowned king, Tou Jou ordered him and his troops to slay or capture the Ren Pa, the last member of the Three Great Heavens after the legendary general refused the king's order to resign from his position and return to capitol to face "punishment".
Desipte being a Great General, Gaku Jou makes no further appearances in the course of the series after his defeat. It is theorized and speculated amongst fans that Tou Jou, the Zhao King had him put to death for his failure in capturing Ren Pa.
