Galdandy is a minor antagonist in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. He is a member of the Dragon Riders.
In the 2020 anime, he was voiced by Subaru Kimura (who also voiced Pesci and Tighten) in Japanese and Lee Tockar (who also voiced Zaboera) in English.
Personality[]
Galdandy shown great joy in killing humans, as he attacked and destroyed the country Bengara for little to no reason despite of other Dragon Riders' protest. However, Galdandy cared about his pet dragon Ruud, as he desired to avenge it by killing Popp, who killed Ruud.
Biography[]
In order to stop Dai's friends from rescuing Dai, Baran summoned Galdandy, Barahorn and Lahalt to stop them. After receiving their order, Baran had them to prepare for battle. However, Galdandy decided to go to destroy the nearby country Bengara during his preparation. After he destroyed it, Baran noticed the ruined country. Due to this, Baran told Galdandy that it is fine as it could be the signal of war.
When Baran and the Dragon Riders invade the city of Teran, they were stopped by Popp. Baran left the Dragon Riders to fight Popp. After Pop demobilized the two other Dragon Riders with a gravity spell, Galdandy fought Popp, with this battle ended with Popp obliterating the head of Galdandy's pet dragon, Ruud, with a spell. After mourning his pet's demise, Galdandy sweared to avenge Ruud by killing Pop.
First, Galdandy drained Popp's magic and seems to have the upper hand. However, Hyunckel saved Popp from Galdandy's strike and left Galdandy to Popp. Galdandy tried to use his flight advantage to defeat Popp. Despite this, Popp's flight spell is proven to be superior, after tearing one of the wings off from the air fighter, and Popp cast Boom to Galdandy at close range, killing Galdandy instantly.
