Biography[]
A dark overlord obsessed with nothing less than complete and total power in the universe, Galvis' evil runs so deep that most of humankind believes he is a demon. But the few who have lived after seeing Galvis are horrified to learn that he is completely human.
Galvis went on a huge campaign of horror and violence, slaughtering thousands of innocent people across the world and burning entire provinces to ash, taking sick glee in coating the land with the blood of his victims and mournful wails of the women as his forces plagued the land.
Eventually setting his sights on the kingdom of Camelia, ruled by the benevolent King Jecca, Galvis proceeds to invade the land and kill everything in sight, until he finally prepared for an attack on Jecca's castle itself.
However, Galvis' planned invasion goes awry when one of his generals, Tarkan, and a large portion of his army betray and abandon Galvis in his time of need, Tarkan due to ambition and his forces due to horror and disgust at what Galvis has done to the world and them. He is known to kill them at the drop of a hat, and several soldiers talk about how Galvis butchered their families to force them into recruitment.
Ditched by Tarkan, Galvis was left to be captured by Jecca, and was summarily thrown into a dungeon to rot until his death, as Jecca grants him a single mercy to not be executed on the spot.
A decade passes as Galvis rots in his dungeon, kept company only by a fellow criminal known only as the Old Man, who informs Galvis that he once stumbled across one of the Seals. You know, the Seals that bound Tasrael? And thus, with this knowledge, Galvis begins making plans...
Soon after, our hero, Elric, a guard for Jecca's palace, is sent to feed Galvis for the day. However, Elric has other plans, as he plans to get revenge on Galvis for the horrible executions of his parents when he (Elric) was a child.
Galvis states that he recognizes Elric, noting that he would never forget the sweet sounds of the boy's cries as Galvis cut his parents down, and mocks Elric into opening his cell and taking his revenge.
Elric complies, only to promptly get shanked by Galvis, using a strip of metal he had been sharpening for years and hiding. Galvis informs Elric that, if he will tell Galvis where his old weapons and armor have been stored, he will kill him quickly, rather than leaving him to slowly die from his gut stabbing.
Elric once again complies, squeaking out the locations of Galvis' equipment, then asks Galvis to kill him quickly. However, Galvis laughs in his face, proclaims he's changed his mind, then leaves Elric to bleed out in a cell, assuring him that rats will be by soon to finish him off by devouring his body.
Galvis then breaks the Old Man out of his cell, proclaiming they will escape together. To assist in their escape, however, Galvis asks the Old Man to teach him his Ice Magic, to which the Old Man agrees.
After learning the magic, Galvis runs the Old Man through with a blade, giddily informing him he would never take him with him as he truthfully grew to hate the man over the years due to his awful smell.
Galvis slaughters his way through the dungeons and tries to sneak into Jecca's palace to kill him, but a magical seal is placed over it by one of Jecca's knights (whom Galvis promptly kills for it).
Next traveling to the location of the first Seal given him by the Old Man, Galvis gets assistance from some fellow evil-doers along the way, in one case mocking a man's motive for helping being to get revenge on Jecca for the fact that a group of his soldiers raped the man's daughter, for which Galvis expresses no sympathy. Galvis does indeed eventually find the Seal, and, after breaking it, decides to find and break the other three to gain access to the Chaos Axe, the ancient weapon wielded by Tasrael in his duel with God.
While travelling to various cities to get information on the location of the Seals, Galvis is itching to slaughter a few dozen people, but, as he wants to conserve his energy and does not want to draw too much attention, he limits his vile acts to threatening to eat a little girl, to cleaving a homeless drunk in half.
After successfully destroying all three of the Seals, Galvis needs a magical explosive to get inside Jecca's palace for his long sought revenge. He heads to a village that can supply such an explosive, learning that they want his assistance in saving them from a monster that demands sacrifices from them every now and then.
Galvis kills the monster, solely to test his skills, and gets the explosives. In the process, he meets a priest in the process who states he sees Tasrael's dark evil inside Galvis. Galvis promptly proclaims he serves no one, and that the evil the priest feels is his own, before cutting the man down.
Galvis blows in his way into Jecca's palace, massacring a path to the king, whom he proceeds to duel. After a hard fought battle, murder, Galvis sends the entire kingdom into a panic as he prepares to gain the Chaos Axe.
During his travels, Galvis meets a slimy magician who offers to teach Galvis a secret spell for the right price. Galvis orders the magician to tell him for free, or he will rip out his spleen, only to brutally murder him anyway when the terrified magician does so. He later pulls this exact same thing on an acolyte of his who wants to become his apprentice. Galvis gets the info for a new technique from him, then cuts him down for his presumptuous ambition in his desire to become his apprentice.
Near the end of the story, Galvis gains the Chaos Axe, gleefully accepting the demonic essence that comes along with it. He transforms into a demon of immense power and christens himself "Galvis the God Slayer" in the process. Following this, Galvis hunts down his treacherous second-in-command, Tarkan, and butchers the group that fled, though Tarkan manages to slip away. As he prepares to head into the Astral Plane, Galvis is confronted once again by Elric, who reveals he survived Galvis leaving him to die, trained for the long while since then, and now seeks to end Galvis.
A long duel is fought, but Galvis ultimately defeats Elric and travels into the Astral Plane, where he finally meets Tasrael, where he reveals he's there to kill him, destroying the only being besides God himself strong enough to stand against him. After destroying Tasrael, Galvis confronts God, whois forced to fight Galvis after the latter rejects a chance at redemption. Galvis kills God after proving that he is in actuality not as perfect as the world thinks With his new godlike powers, Galvis brings Hell on Earth, instantly turning millions of men, women, and children to dust and siccing an army of demons onto the land to kill all in sight, ultimately culminating in Galvis feasting on the agony of the dying out humankind before ripping the Earth itself in two, destroying all of humanity for its "crimes against him." However the final scene shows that, without a humanity to terrorize of rule now, Galvis is left to simply ponder if there are any other worlds out there he might be able to find to rekindle his excitement in life.
