The Gamesmaster is a minor antagonist in the original G.I. Joe series, serving as the main antagonist in the episode "The Gamesmaster". He is a twisted man who kidnaps Flint, Lady Jaye, Baroness and Cobra Commander for his own amusement.
History[]
Bored with old games, the Gamesmaster decides to entertain himself with a new "game" of his own. First, he has his minions kidnap G.I. Joe members Flint and Lady Jaye, as well as COBRA members Baroness and Cobra Commander, and bring them to his island of toys and candy. In this "game", one of the four captives must find the helicopter on the island and fly away to win.
After a while of watching the four from his lair, the Gamesmaster sends a robot dragon after them. It seemingly kills Flint, but soon it is revealed that he faked his death and takes out the pallbearer robots who nearly bury him. Meanwhile, Lady Jaye, Cobra Commander and the Baroness find the helicopter. As they fight each other over it, the Gamesmaster sends drives a large lawnmower after them via remote control, running over the helicopter as well. Flint then comes into the control room, where he confronts the Gamesmaster and stops the lawnmower with the controls. The Gamesmaster throws a tantrum, declaring Flint to have cheated. Before he could attack him, reinforcements arrive in the form of G.I. Joe and COBRA, who teamed up against the Gamesmaster. As they battled his toy forces, the Gamesmaster escaped in a flying saucer, swearing revenge.
