Gan'an Shinomiya is the father of Kaguya Shinomiya and a minor villain in Kaguya-sama: Love is War. He is a very rich and influential person in Japan and holds great economical and likely political power.
Appearance
Gan'an seems to be a elderly man, as he walks around with a cane and has long gray hair. He wears a blue kimono.
Personality
He is a very cold and unloving person. He is strict and cares little about his daughter, having never said "good night" or "see you later" to her. Gan'an is very serious and invested in running the family business and upholding it's high status. He sees his daughter almost as a decoration, that needs to be around, whenever he has an important meeting.
Biography
Since Kaguya was a child, he never showed her any forms of love or affection. He made her be treated like a doll by everyone. He forbid her from forming social bonds and making friends, as he didn't want her to drift away from the right course. He expects a lot from her and pushes her to study and suceed everywhere. Gan'an also didn't want Kaguya to receive proper sex education, leaving her clueless even as a teenager.
When he had a meeting at the main estate, he called Kaguya to arrive. She asked him to stay, since she had planned to meet with her friends, but he demanded she would come. She was forced to cancel her plans and drove there. She waited in a room, when he passed by. He saw her and only said, it was good and left again, not even greeting her. Kaguya's maid Ai was maddened by the fact, he called her here simply for this and wished for him to just drop dead.
