Ha ha ha! So kind of you to bring the remaining pieces of the Triforce to me! You may have defeated that weakling Octavo's toy instruments... But now you will witness the POWER that has brought Hyrule to its knees!
~ Ganon

Ganondorf, better known as Ganon, is the overarching antagonist of the 2019 action-adventure and rhythm game Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer, a crossover game between The Legend of Zelda and Crypt of the NecroDancer.

He's the prince of the Gerudo who after being corrupted by Octavo's Golden Lute and the Triforce of Power within, became a demon.

Biography[]

Backstory[]

Ganondorf resides at Gerudo Village as a young organ player. He was motivated to discover the power of music after seeing Octavo lull Barriara, the chief of Gerudo Village and his caretaker, into a profound slumber. Barriara was enchanted by Octavo to stop Ganondorf, but this ultimately puts him on the path that the Fates predicted would lead to his transformation into Ganon.

Cadence of Hyrule[]

Main Game[]

Cadence, Link, Yves, and Zelda break Octavo's Golden Lute after stopping him in Hyrule Castle. Octavo makes the desperate decision to go to the Future World and confront Ganon directly. The heroes discover that Ganon has defeated Octavo in combat when they get to the Future World. According to a Fate in the Future World, Ganondorf eventually located and fixed Octavo's Golden Lute. The heroes then fight Ganon in battle, using the Triforce to finally defeat the evil tyrant.

Story Mode - Octavo[]

In this alternate story mode, Ganon is revealed to have already been defeated by the NecroDancer.

Symphony of the Mask[]

Ganon plays an identical role in the Symphony of the Mask mode, with the Gerudo and the Deku being the only civilizations exempt from his fury. The Skull Mask betrays the Skull Kid when the latter gets to Ganon, giving Ganon more power and transforming him into Skull Ganon. Despite the power boost, Link, Zelda, and Cadence use the Triforce to shatter the Skull Mask, defeating him in the same manner as in the main game.
