Ganon, also known as the Demon King, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Tekom) of the 2024 action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

He is a dark, sentient Tecuum and an echo of the original Ganon, created by Null to further its own goals. Throughout the game, Ganon leads the Tecuums, spreads rifts throughout Hyrule, and battles the hero and the priestess, all in an effort to set his creator free.

Biography

Past

Sometime prior to the events of the game, Null created Ganon with the aim of creating rifts and capture the Tris responsible for repairing them. As the most powerful Tecuum to be created at the time, it became their leader and encountered Link multiple times. At some point, it kidnapped Princess Zelda and Tri, then imprisoned them both in its lair within Suthorn Ruins to lure the Link to it.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

After abducting Princess Zelda, Ganon is confronted and defeated by a mute swordsman named Link. Upon defeat, he abandons his trident to allow a rift to open up and suck Link into the Still World.

Much later on, Zelda and Tri encounter Ganon in Hyrule Castle within the Still World, where they realize he was an Echo. In a decisive battle, Zelda managed to defeat it and free Hyrule Castle from the Still World.

When confronted by Link and Zelda within its body, Null created multiple unglamoured and imperfect Tecuums of its previous creations to fight alongside it, Ganon among them.
