“ | Welcome to my castle. | „ |
~ Ganondorf greeting Link and Midna. |
“ | Your people have long amused me, Midna. To defy the gods with such petty magic, only to be cast aside… How very pathetic. Pathetic as they were, though, they served me well. Their anguish was my nourishment. Their hatred bled across the void and awakened me. I drew deep of it and grew strong again. Your people had some skill, to be sure… but they lacked true power. The kind of absolute power that those chosen by the gods wield. He who wields such power would make a suitable king for this world, don't you think? | „ |
~ Ganondorf taunting Midna. |
“ | An impressive-looking blade… But nothing more. Would you hear my desire? To take this foul blade… and use it to blot out the light forever! | „ |

Biography[]
Origins[]
Like in the original timeline, Ganondorf Dragmire was a male born into the usually women-exclusive Gerudo tribe. As such, he was groomed to become their next king and raised by Koume and Kotake. However, he also happened to be the reincarnation of the Demon King, Demise, and thus was destined to seek his past life's revenge against the descendants of the goddess, Hylia aka the royal family of Hyrule and the reincarnation of the original Link who defeated him ages ago.
After becoming king of his tribe, Ganondorf then traveled to Hyrule Castle to swear his fealty to the king. This was part of his plan to betray him later and then attempt to seize the legendary Triforce that could grant him immeasurable power, which was hidden in the Sacred Realm. However, immediately after Link is sent back 7 years in time after defeating Ganondorf in the future, he goes back to Hyrule castle to warn the Royal Family about Ganondorf. As a result, Ganondorf was then captured and sentenced to death for his crimes. But at some point (by some divine prank as the Sages described) Ganondorf was granted the Triforce of Power.
He was then brought to the roof Arbiter's Grounds, where the Six Sages handled his execution. They managed to deeply injure him by using the Sword of the Six Sages to impale him. However, due to the Triforce of Power being activated, Ganondorf couldn't die. In retaliation, Ganondorf broke out of his chains and murdered the Sage of Water. He then pulled the sword from himself and prepared to slaughter all the other sages. In a last ditch effort, the Sages opened a portal to the Twilight Realm and sealed Ganondorf away.
In the Twilight Realm, Ganondorf reinvigorated himself with the hatred among the Twili that lingered through the realm. Ganondorf sensed the hatred in Zant, a Twili that was denied to rule the Twilight Realm. Ganondorf grants Zant a little bit of his power, and in return, Ganondorf can get an opportunity to escape the Twilight Realm.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess[]
Near the end of the game, Link kills Zant and heads to the top of Hyrule Castle where he finds Ganondorf. Ganondorf sits on Zelda's throne while the latter's body is lying on a niche. Ganondorf then engages in a fight with Link. During the first part of the fight, Ganondorf takes control of Zelda's body by turning into Twilight. Possessed Zelda then starts ruthelessy attacking Link until she is defeated, and Ganondorf's spirit is knocked out. Ganondorf then turns into his demon form, Ganon. Link is able to defeat him, and strikes the wound left by the Sages during his execution by stabbing it with the Master Sword.
Ganondorf, still alive, turns into the spirit form, the same form he used to influence Zant. Midna volunteers to fight Ganondorf, while Link and Zelda flee to Hyrule Field. Unfortunately, Midna was easily defeated by Ganondorf, and the latter rode a horse back to Link and Zelda to fight them once more. Zelda pleads the Light Spirits for some help, and they give them the light arrows. Link uses them to barrage Ganondorf, and he falls off of his horse.
Ganondorf quickly recovers and creates an arena and traps himself and Link inside of it. Ganondorf then engages in a sword duel with Link. Link defeats Ganondorf in the duel and deals the final blow by directly stabbing into Ganondorf's wound. Ganondorf starts hollering in pain, but he only dies after the Triforce of Power he's wielding fades away. Before his death, he has a vision of Zant snapping his neck.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures[]
After his death, Ganondorf is reincarnated centuries later.
