Appearance[]
| “ | That is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. | „ |
| ~ Michelangelo upon seeing the Garbageman for the first time. |
Garbageman is a disturbing sight. He is a unhealthily corpulent man with a belly making up most of his body. He has a double chin, stained with drool and beady red eyes on his face. True to his name, Garbageman wears only a filthy wifebeater on his body and a ruined baseball cap on his hairless head.
Garbageman is a wheelchair-like tank of some sort, both of the two tanks used by Garbageman had wires going into his body. In a canned episode, it would be revealed Garbageman has no legs due to a mutation he was born with, with this in mind, it can be assumed the tank like devices used by the Garbageman are also a life-support system for his unhealthy body.
Biography[]
The boy who would later be named Garbageman, was born the conjoined twin of Hun, later to be founder of the purple dragons and the enforcer of the Shredder.
While both twins were conjoined, Hun was a healthy boy aside from being attached to his twin, while Garbageman was deformed and had no legs due to being conjoined to Hun's waist. The two managed to live with their parents, while much of their time together is unknown, it is speculated, Garbageman enjoyed being with his family.
As an adolescent, Hun secretly contacted a backalley doctor to separate the two. After the operation, Hun was excited to be able to live as a normal healthy boy, but his legless twin was still a problem. Despite his brother begging for mercy, Hun remorselessly wrapped him up in blankets, told his brother he was nothing but garbage and garbage must be disposed of, then tossed him in a dumpster to die.
However the boy lived, and possibly got revenge on the surgeon, using his tools as revenge, and began to take a very interest in Garbage, calling himself Garbageman!
Throughout the years, Garbageman allied with various crooks in NYC, building high tech trucks, and containment, weapons and all kind of gear.
In the modern era, the Turtles befriended a Professor who was the leader of a homeless crew, learning of a mysterious truck that has been capturing a lot of their crewhand lately. The Turtles would learn the Professor was kidnapped along with the rest of the crew, following the trail and the truck, they discovered it stood by in this junkpile island, where hazmat like guards would enslave the homeless people, inside the Truck revelead Garbageman, who was mounted to a hybrid metal wheelchair tank, praising himself for capturing the homeless people. The professor would claim that he'd rather be free man than to be a slave, as Garbageman attempts to kill him, the Turtles arrive stopping his goons and fighting him. The fight leads to Garbageman being led to nearby cliff where Donatello disables his tank like chair, causing it to malfunction and send him falling into the ocean. Of course the turtles, must rescue him, only to discover he is missing...
Garbageman's goons all leave the island, while The Professor applauded the Garbageman in spirit, as they now have a home to live peacefully, and so the homeless people decide to live in the Junk Island, while the Turtles go home.
Garbageman surivived, with his crew who escaped, began to build a new city in the ocean for countless months, calling it Junklantis
Enter Junklatis![]
Mikey and Donnie create a turtle submarine to travel across the ocean, where they discover Junk like Atlantis city, and discover Garbageman is back, and stop him.
Nightmare Recycled[]
The main plot of the episode involved Garbageman coming back for revenge on his brother. The draft script ended with Garbageman dying by falling into a vat of acid and melting.
In a talk with the drafts, Peter Laird expressed his advice; feeling that Hun abandoning the brother he grew up in the trash with zero remorse was too much even for Hun, he felt it would make more sense if the surgeon blackmailed Hun for possession of his brother, which Hun reluctantly agreed to. Laird also had issues with Garbageman's death, feeling it was too graphic and the Garbageman character shouldn't be killed off after such an interesting plot point.
Ultimately, Mirage and 4Kids both decided not to complete the episode and it never moved beyond draft state, however several character sheets including Hun and Garbageman's parents and sketches have been discovered, as according to the designer of the art work, the show managed to animate the episode, but their a lack of sound effects and music.
