Garrett Randall is the main antagonist of season 4 of the television series Yellowstone. Randall is protective for his son and vengeful towards the Dutton family.
He is portrayed by Will Patton who also played Wayne Nolan in Desperately Seeking Susan, Alan Wilson in 24,General Bethlehem in Postman and Quentin Glass in The Punisher.
Biography[]
Garrett Randall was arrested on 6/16/1980 and sentenced on 8/12/1980 to 30 years, after he killed his wife in a fit of rage, after seeing his son Jamie Dutton smoking crack and his wife, Phyllis, having sex with a boy.
Jamie, after discovering that he was adopted, will confront Garrett who had lived alone on his farm for years.
Garrett will justify the murder by saying that his wife was a terrible mother and a danger to his son. After a while Garrett will enlist an old friend and cellmate Terrell Riggins head of the Montana Free Militia. Riggin and his men will try to eliminate the Dutton family but will fail.
Garrett Randall tries to take revenge on his adoptive father John Dutton who, according to Garrett, did not defend him in court for the murder of his wife. Beth after finding out about Riggins asked Jamie but found out that it was Garrett who commissioned Terrell.
So at the Ranch Jamie killed Garrett Randall with a shot to the head. Jamie disposed of the body at the train station.
Psychology[]
Garrett Randall killed his wife mostly out of anger after being cheated on and seeing his son smoke Crack. He loves his son and is protective of him, he justifies his wife's death by saying that she was a danger to his son but he understands that he is a bad person, in fact he ends up wanting to murder the Dutton family.
