Garuda is a major antagonist in the 2023 action role-playing high fantasy video game, Final Fantasy XVI. She is the Warden of Wind that serves the Kingdom of Waloed and serves as Benedikta Harman's Eikon. Though she does not fully manifest until after Benedikta loses most of her power from Clive Rosfield and gives into her despair and grief, allowing Garuda to take full control and wreak havoc.
Appearance[]
Garuda appears as a feathered, humanoid harpy with razor sharp teeth and talons. She has two pairs of wings, each of which have talons that appear at the tip of her wings, as well as wings around her face.
Personality[]
Garuda appears to be much like the other Eikons, in which she is driven purely by her own instincts and follows her Dominant's will. She is notably more destructive and savage in comparison to some of the other Eikons, however, though this may possibly be in response to Benedikta's emotions, who by this point has given in to her desires of seeing the world be destroyed or has always wanted to cause destruction but couldn't due to Benedikta suppressing her power, but ultimately losing the will to do so any further.
Nonetheless, Garuda is known for being a frenzied being that is feared among even the allies of her Dominant. Likewise, when facing off against Clive, she seems to be thrilled and delighted in fighting against him and takes pleasure in causing the destruction around her.
