Gavin Miller is a minor antagonist in the first installment of the Texas Chainsaw 3D Timeline, Leatherface, he is the neglectful adoptive father of Edith Rose Sawyer/Heather Miller and is also the husband of Arlene Sawyer. And he killed off Heather's real mother (Loretta Sawyer) back in 1973 (which was the same year that almost the rest of the Sawyer Family were killed off).
He was voiced and performed by David Born.
Appearance[]
When he was younger, Gavin appeared with a light blue jacket, black hair, and a white shirt, however. As he got older, he then appeared with a white shirt, blue shorts, a beard, and black socks, but in the movie's post credits scene, he appears with a button up shirt and a dark blue jacket.
Personality[]
Due to being portrayed as a neglectful parent, Gavin does not care for Edith at all, in fact. The only one who he cares for is his wife Arlene, as he never abuses her and she decides to agree with the idea of Edith being her adopted daughter, but apart from Arlene, he does not care for anybody (especially for Edith).
Gavin is also shown to be dimwitted and lazy when he is older, as he to not being willing to any type of work whatsoever.
Biography[]
Gavin first appears when he finds Loretta with her newborn baby (Edith Rose Sawyer), and while he does kidnap Edith, he doesn't try to help Loretta. As he kills her off by kicking her with his foot, and after telling his wife about Edith, him and her go off to take pictures with Burt Hartman's mob, many years later. Gavin and Arlene have now adopted Edith and have changed her name to Heather Miller, and when Gavin admits that they aren't her real parents (and show their true and neglectful nature), Edith leaves to go find her real home in Texas (along with her friends).
In the movie's post credits scene, Gavin and Arlene are shown to be at Edith's new home, however. They are most likely killed off by Leatherface off-screen, and due to the next 3D Timeline film being taken place before the events of the original 1974 film, Gavin and Arlene do not appear in that film.
