Mantis Man is a Shocker Kaijin with the characteristics of a condor and an antagonist in episode 11 of the original 1971 Kamen Rider series.

He was voiced by Isao Yatsu in episode 11, the late Osamu Ichikawa in episode 13 and Sachio Fujino in episode 27.

History[]

Immediately after being made, Gebacondor required the live blood of a young woman to nourish itself. Thus, Shocker turned a church into a hideout and attacked a young woman who came to have a wedding, collecting blood and awakening Gebacondor. After waking up, Gebacondor desired more living blood and aimed at Yoko Taki, the bride of Kazuya Taki, who had a wedding ceremony at the church. Kamen Rider stopped Gebacondor's attack and helped Yoko to escape, but Gebacondor slipped away and began attacking young women and sipping their live blood.

Later, he attacked Tobei Tachibana and Ruriko Midorikawa as they were having a fake wedding ceremony to lure him out. He was met by Kamen Rider, who appeared and cornered it in battle. Gebacondor defeated by the Cyclone Crusher of Kamen Rider.

Mantis Man was reconstructed in episodes 13 and 27, and in the movie "Kamen Rider vs. Shocker".

Powers and Abilities[]

In addition to flying with wings on both sides, Gebacondor has a fighting ability equal to or better than Kamen Rider 1, and its sturdy body can withstand a Rider Kick.
