~ General Aguila telling Yaotl his beliefs.

General Aguila is the main antagonist of the 2007 animated film TMNT. He is one of Yaotl's generals until he and Yaotl's other three siblings were encased in stone.

He was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, who ironically also voiced the 2012 version of Shredder, and also GantuTartarus, Sarevok, The Joker and Lobo.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Aguila was born around 1000 B.C. somewhere in Central America and grew up in the Aztec army alongside his brothers Yaotl, Gato, Mono and sister General Serpiente to become merciless tyrants leading a massive army into conquering every kingdom of the ancient world. Known to have been the most trusted of all five siblings, he also served as second-in-command to Yaotl, who was warrior-king of their brotherhood.

Encased In Stone[]

While fighting their way to finishing their subjugation of the ancient country of Paxmec, with the siege on its capital Xalica, the five barbarians learned from a wheel-like artifact they seized from within the city's temple about a constellation known as the Stars of Kicaan, which aligned every 3,000 years to send a beam of energy opening a portal to another dimension. As the portal opened, its energy made Yaotl immortal, but the price was costly, for it turned Aguila and the other three generals to stone and released from its vortex opening 13 monsters that decimated the rest of their army and their Xalican opponents.

Cult following[]

At some point following his petrification, Aguila's stone body would be discovered by a tribe that grew to worship him as a god, even slaughtering another tribe in his name. This cult would kill off a crew save for April O'Niel, who they tried to sacrifice to Aguila. A former government official would later wipe out the cult and take Aguila's stone body for himself.

Resurrection[]

Aguila's statue is recovered later by April O'Niel and transported from South America to New York, where his brother Yoatl, whom is Max Winters, the head of an industry. Max resurrects all four of his brothers via some advanced devices that his company invented. Aguila and the three stone siblings capture one of the thirteen immortal monsters in a construction yard, where the Turtles were intervening in.

Yoatl approves Aguila's accomplishment and orders his crew to capture the remaining abominations, alongside the Foot Clan and Karai (whom are revealed earlier to be in league with Winters) and prepare to use them for a latent conquest.

Devious Minds[]

After capturing eleven of the monsters, Aguila reports the news to his brother Yoatl whom mentions it will break the stone curse, much to Aguila's bewildering, as he desires infinite immortality. Yaotl forbids his general to question his command, awakening trepidations and suspicions to Aguila.

Aguila tells his siblings that he believes their human brother is conniving treason against them and they must prevent Yoatl from discovering the capture of the final monster and fake it. The Foot and the Stone Generals capture the twelth monster (offscreen) and find Leonardo after he and Ralphael had their quarrelsome skirmish. The Foot tranquilize him and Aguila knocks him out unconscious. Gato is inquisitive if Leo is suitable as a fake, but Aguila approves that Yaotl would uncover the truth after it is too late and therefore they capture Leo and drive away before Raphael can return and rescue his brother.

Betrayal & Last Stand[]

The portal of the Stars of Kicaan is activated after all the 3000 years past. The portal vortex lands in the center of Winters' building where all thirteen immortal beasts are imprisoned and ready to be sent back to their abyssal planet. Yoatl immediately realizes the devastating conspiracy and berates his siblings. Yoatl was only planning on abducting all the monsters so he could return them home and break his immortal curse once and for all so he can perish in peace. Aguila however, protests against him and induces him into following him and fulfill precaution to their immortality and culminate their plans for modern conquest.

After TMNT, April, Casey, Splinter and the Foot breach the building they find Yoatl whom is bewildered on seeing giant turtles, but April reveals she is aware of the situation. After explaining his true intentions on breaking the curse for good and sendning the beasts back, Aguila and his siblings descend and threaten to bring more beasts into the world for his conquest. Aguila rejects every reasoning his brother has for him and orders the Foot Clan to follow them. Karai dismisses the request and orders her troops to hunt down the thirteenth monster, along with April and Casey.

The Stone Generals and the Turtles take action against each other until the monster has been captured. All four are kicked into the portal but are unable to be vanquished or perished as they immortals of stone. Aguila's boasting never lasted as April and Casey crash into the building and drive aside from the portal. The monster whom followed them slipped on the floor and stumpbled upon the generals into the portal. The generals are turned back into flesh and blood again, and are sucked into the portal, screaming in terror as their doom is approaching them. Aguila's fate remains unknown whether he was killed by the monsters in the new realm, turned into stone statues again or vanished within the portal vortex. But one thing is certain, his defeat is bestowed and he is never seen again.
