He explains they must move forward with this "truth" in mind. After the people on board the Itanbul were brought to the satellite Mordel gives Meio a call via phone to set up an appointment with him at his mansion. Once Meio was there, Mordel talks with him about Meio's mission from the marshal to recover the Dragonars Kaine, Light, and Tapp stole from Giganos. Meio explains he cannot talk about his mission even with Mordel. Mordel exclaims that he is the one in charge of the satellite and cannot let him do as he would wish. Meio tells him that he will be careful from this point on before leaving. Later he learns about spies on the satellite trying to free the hostages. Soon after Light Newman hacked into the satellite, Mordel receives a false alarm regarding the Earth's military. Meio realizes that something is off, but Mordel insists that his crew had verified it on the radar. Much to Meio's irritation, Mordel ordered all units to standby with no investigation, leading to them falling for the Dragonar Pilots' trap. Later when the captives escape, he witnesses a series of ships leave the satellite, much to his irritation as he did not order them to move out. Immediately, he learns there is no way to contact the fleet and asks where Meio Plato is. He learns that the captives are escaping via the Itanbul and orders the cannon to stop it only to learn that the third and fourth turrets were moved to the back. When the Dragonars head out with Meio on their tail, Mordel orders the turrets to be fired on Kaine, with no regards to what happens to Meio. Shortly after, the explosives set off by the Dragonar pilots blow up the satellite, killing everyone still on board, including Mordel.
