Genidowski is a minor character in the crime drama series Better Call Saul. He is a con man hired by Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler to pose as Howard Hamlin's private investigator.
He was portrayed by Lennie Loftin.
History[]
After his boxing match with Jimmy, Howard meets with Genidowski, asking him to monitor Jimmy's actions and interactions. When Jimmy drives away from the boxing club, Genidowski follows him in his own car.
After several days of surveillance, Genidowski shows Howard surveillance photos taken of Jimmy at his new law office and informs him of Jimmy's daily activities in detail. Howard asks about a photo of Jimmy visiting a bank, to which Genidowski says it was the only time Jimmy changed his routine and he made several cash withdrawals estimating to $20,000.
Unbeknownst to Howard, Genidowski is actually working for Jimmy and only reports what Jimmy wants Howard to know. Genidowski meets with Jimmy at UNM campus, receives faked photos of Jimmy handing an envelope to a man, and speeds away. Genidowski presents the pictures to Howard and explains the wetness of the photos to be the result of hasty development, but in reality it is drops of a mild psychotropic drug that Jimmy and Kim use on Howard to implicate him as a cocaine addict. Howard notices Jimmy is holding the same envelope that he had earlier when he was leaving the bank and tells Genidowski to track down and identify the man.
After Howard leaves for a meeting on the Sandpiper case, Genidowski switches the envelope of faked photos with one with pictures showing Jimmy handing a frisbee to a jogger, who is actually the sound technician of his film crew in disguise. The new photos are brought to Howard during the meeting, dawning on him that Jimmy had set him up. When Howard tries to call Genidowski, he discovers his phone number has been disconnected and that three weeks ago, Julie was tricked into using Genidowski's phone number. When she called the detective agency, she learned that Genidowski had never worked there. Howard sees Genidowski for what he really is and attempts to convince the other lawyers of the scam, but none of them believe him.
