Shrouded in ambiguity, the Genocider operates from a massive, ominous ship and appears to be capable of mass-scale devastation, erasing entire cities and timelines with a single assault. Its presence is so severe that the Citadel assigns a Morty to investigate and eliminate it, highlighting the level of threat it poses even to powerful multiversal institutions.
The true nature of the Genocider is eventually revealed to be a puppet under the control of President Morty, manipulated through a device similar to the one used to control Evil Rick in earlier events. This revelation shifts the Genocider from a faceless monster to a manifestation of Morty’s growing rebellion against the Rick dominated status quo. By using the Genocider to destroy Ricks, President Morty positions himself as a symbol of autonomy and revenge for every Morty subjugated in the multiverse.
The Genocider’s design and power are anime-influenced, with scenes showing Rick C-137 facing it in a spectacular showdown where he unleashes over the top transformations and powers, becoming "Super Rick" to counter the threat.
