"There's people you could've taken out!
~ George telling off his associate Andy Hunter for not killing people as their former boss, Jack Dalton, would normally have done for The Firm.

George is a fictional character and minor antagonist of the British soap opera EastEnders.

History[]

George is a feared gangster from Albert Square in Walford, a fictional borough in East London, who became affiliated with local gangland organization The Firm prior to his arrival in January 2004.

It soon became clear that George is the Firm's represenative who is ordered to summon their new leader, Andy Hunter, and have him replaced due to the latter not as ruthless or fearsome as his late boss Jack Dalton. When arriving in the square, George orders one of his henchmen to summon Andy for a meeting to discuss his status. George argues that there are people Andy could've killed before the start of the year, referring to Dalton's protege Dennis Rickman for killing Dalton months ago; the square's local hardman Phil Mitchell for betraying Dalton for not killing Dennis under his orders; and Dennis' father Den Watts for his past grievances with The Firm back in the late 1980s.

When Andy argues his reasons for not killing Den and Phil and Dennis altogether, George asserts that Dalton would've done it and is annoyed when Andy dismisses Dalton as a "thug". George then tells Andy that he is no longer the Firm's leader because of this and threatens him into staying away from the organization. It is most likely that if Andy had continued to defend himself, George would've resorted to ending his life and threatening the lives of all who knew Andy in the square; this would've included his girlfriend and Phil's sister Sam Mitchell, his ex-fiance Kat Slater, her new husband Alfie Moon, and even Dennis' sister Vicki Fowler along with their adopted sister Sharon Watts due to the assocations.

However, Andy accepts his decesion and George is never seen again.
